[Main story and four bonus chapters complete]
Ever since she was little, Jiang Jingshu had been taught how to be a proper lady.
"A graceful, lovely lady is a gentleman's perfect match."
"Plant a parasol tree, and a phoenix will come to roost."
In the end, Jiang Jingshu lived up to everyone's expectations and raised herself into a wanton woman.
One sweltering summer, Zhou Mengyang opened the front door and saw her sitting primly on his family's sofa. Her golden hair was bold and striking, but her clothes were simple.
She glanced at him and said with a smile, "Goodness, Auntie Meng, what have you been feeding him? He's almost as tall as the doorframe."
With his mother, she was sweet and enthusiastic.
With him, she was a mischievous tease who always pulled one over on him.
He figured that, back then, he was young and naive, and had fallen for her at first sight the second time they met.
Then, because he was inexperienced, he only fell deeper and deeper.
After an initial assessment, Zhou Mengyang decided he'd fallen for her looks and was only human. Jiang Jingshu really was as beautiful as a doll. But later, he felt that diagnosis didn't quite fit.
He reassessed himself and decided he was a sucker for strength. Jiang Jingshu was an undeniable genius, and he must have inherited the gene for sapiosexuality from someone.
But that still didn't tell the whole story.
In the end, he decided he liked her personality. She was lively and quick-witted, but at certain moments, an extreme loneliness would show on her face, making him want to slip into the depths of her heart and find out what lay there.
He tried to figure out why, only to discover that love itself made no sense. Jiang Jingshu deserved to be loved because she was simply a wonderful person.
There was just one problem: she was never short of lovers.
Yet she was always lonely.
