The "food chain" that keeps the world running has broken down, and Earth has entered an era of Great Regression.
All species begin to regress in a chaotic fashion. After Yi Zhuohua watches her neighbor turn into a monkey and leap from the fifteenth floor, she thinks she'll regress into a deranged monkey, too. Then she discovers feathers growing beneath her arms.
Could regression cause genetic mutations, too? Will she become even crazier than that monkey?
Life really loves to slap you in the face, and every slap is crazier than the last. Regressed, mutated creatures are going berserk and eating people! The regressed environment is shrinking humanity's living space!
As someone on the verge of a mutated regression, Yi Zhuohua would rather give up and lie flat. But the cult-like prophecies in her mind shove her onto the over-the-top path of saving the world.
While being hunted by all kinds of mutated creatures, Yi Zhuohua figures that dying would be fine, and if she can't die, turning into a crazy bird and flying away wouldn't be bad, either.
Unfortunately, life never goes the way she wants. As one of the few people who can retain her awareness despite mutating, Yi Zhuohua eventually joins the army to save the world.
She can't die, and she can't go crazy.
Then she'll hit life right back! She'll put an end to this chaotic mess and lie flat afterward.

The world enters an era of Great Regression, and all living things begin to regress.
Most people, animals, and plants become abnormally aggressive and bloodthirsty after regressing. Some even undergo genetic mutations, with traces of multiple species appearing in a single creature.
The remaining humans become lambs waiting for the slaughter. At first, high-tech weapons still work, but within days, their effectiveness gradually declines as their complexity and technological sophistication increase.
Humanity officially enters the apocalypse.
A global cleansing plan called "Nuwa's Severed Tail" gets underway.
The only fragments of genetic memory that can help humanity save itself are scattered among the memories of certain special creatures. Can Yi Zhuohua and the others seize a chance to survive before "Heaven and Earth Share the Same Lifespan" arrives?!
