Younger Sibling

After a year of marriage, her husband died of illness. Ming Yi honored his final wish and took him back to his hometown of Liangzhou for burial.

In Liangzhou, she met her husband's elder brother, Li Yun, the Little Prince of Liang, for the first time.

Li Yun held power over the region and was cold and ruthless, so Ming Yi kept her distance.

All she wanted was to bury her husband and return to the capital as an idle widow.

But an "accident" forced her to stay in Liangzhou.

At first, Ming Yi thought Li Yun might be cold, but as her husband's elder brother, he was always proper and courteous to her.

Until, without realizing it, she became the Little Prince of Liang's right-hand woman, and his courtesy as her husband's elder brother vanished completely.

Only then did Ming Yi realize that this brother-in-law had never intended to let her leave from the very beginning.

Li Yun had no interest in romance. He devoted himself to guarding the border for the court, and had even refused an imperial marriage arrangement.

Until his younger brother's wife, whom he had never met, brought his brother home for burial.

He decided to keep her there.

The Little Prince of Liang had a perfectly reasonable explanation: "My younger brother and I were always close. He left all his treasured possessions to me, and his wife is clearly one of them."

Ming Yi: ???

That night,

Ming Yi was about to sneak away on horseback.

A tall, lean figure suddenly blocked her path.

Li Yun: "Sister-in-law, are you going riding at night?"

Ming Yi: "..."

Li Yun stroked the horse's back, his meaning unmistakable. "I've heard the woods are especially interesting at night. I've always been curious. Perhaps I could try it with you tonight, sister-in-law."

Ming Yi: "???"

Li Yun: "I mean night hunting."

You jerk!

Probably an ancient road-trip story, with the plot and romance split about fifty-fifty.

A heroine who conceals her talents vs. a hero who's a genuinely good person (seriously).

Theme: Clear rivers, peaceful seas, and a tranquil world
