A hundred years ago, the ancient artifact known as the Taiji Mirror vanished from the world. A century later, its fragments reappeared, and by chance became tied to the fate of an orphan girl.
*
After waking up with no memories, Mu Xi discovered a young man lying beside her. He was covered in wounds, yet possessed a face of breathtaking beauty.
"What's your name?"
Pei Duxue's long lashes were dusted with sparkling snow. His eyes were cool and distant. He looked at her in silence but didn't answer.
A jade pendant hung at his waist. Mu Xi couldn't remember anything, yet she had seen that pendant in her dreams. She thought it might be connected to her past.
Mu Xi secretly followed him. At last, the taciturn young man spoke to her. "Don't follow me."
"So you'll talk to me now. What's your name?"
"A nameless, faceless wandering soul."

Pei Duxue was a once-in-a-century sword cultivator. When he was born, a prophecy descended from the heavens: he would bring calamity upon his family. They despised him, yet depended on him, so he became the family's hidden blade, doomed to live in the shadows.
To him, life was like a long, inscrutable night, until Mu Xi entered it. This young girl had no memories, and had met him only once, yet she dared to say he was a good person. She dared to trust him.
From then on, his sword would protect only Mu Xi.
"Mu Xi, in this world, you are the only one I love."
The character "Xi" in Mu Xi's name comes from Su Shi's poem "Song of the Fragrant Path: Reflections": "When shall I return, to live as one at leisure, with a zither, a pot of wine, and clouds over a stream?"
The worldbuilding is entirely my own.
The heroine follows an advancement arc, the hero follows a romance arc, and the story is plot-driven throughout.
The heroine's amnesia has a reason, and her memories will return later. Both leads are sexually inexperienced, and it has a happy ending.
