Synopsis
Hagi-chan died. Hagi-chan came back to life. After being blown up by a bomb, Hagiwara somehow turned into a curse and shrank down to the body of a seven-year-old child. What kind of curse is born from humanity’s fear of bombs? And he was a bomb disposal officer! How did he become a curse that makes bombs? “It’s love! Their love cursed you, and that’s why you became a curse!” said a certain white-haired man in sunglasses. What kind of joke is that? Love, my foot! If anyone cursed anyone, it was me who cursed little Jinpei! He thought back to his childhood friend at the funeral, swearing to his sister that he would catch the bomber and avenge him. For the umpteenth time, he regretted saying those words. ‘If I die, you’d better avenge me, okay?’ That really was just a joke! “So what do I have to do to get my body back?” He wanted to return to normal, to stand before his friends and family again and apologize for leaving them so soon. “You were blown to pieces, weren’t you? Maybe we have to find all the other bits of you scattered around and put you back together.” That was the theory of the strongest sorcerer in the jujutsu world. What kind of fruit-merging game is this? No, wait, what kind of Hagiwara Kenji-merging game? He might have been a police officer in life, but who could guarantee that a curse would remain true to its convictions after death? The newly born humanoid curse was forced to sign a series of unequal contracts with the strongest sorcerer alive. With the Gojo clan and Tokyo Jujutsu High as guarantors, he became exempt from the sorcerers’ exorcism list. In exchange, he had to run errands, babysit, buy sweets, and take care of all sorts of chores for his guarantor, Gojo Satoru. Hagi-chan: So what if I’m a curse? I’m still a corporate wage slave... Damn Six Eyes! He didn’t even have time to go give little Jinpei a friendly hug! After signing away his freedom, Curse Hagiwara roamed all over Japan, searching for the parts of himself he’d lost. Then he saw something he shouldn’t have. Who was that burly man with scruffy stubble and a sniper rifle? Was that really his pure, kind, gentle, adorable angel, Hiromitsu? And who was that fox of a man, grinning like a male model and radiating charm? Give him back his serious, earnest, upright, friendly blond teacher, ahhh! Two undercover agents, both posing as members of a certain organization: ? They couldn’t shake the feeling that a creepy gaze was fixed on them. Hagi-chan: Waaaah, what kind of awful organization is this? Give back his sweet and kind buddies! Just as he’d managed to steady his crumbling worldview, a strange group of curses recruited him, inviting him to help create a world ruled by curses. A certain brain in a jar: “Newly born Special Grade curse, you must hate the humans who exude malice as much as we do! Join our harmonious, friendly family, and let’s build a wonderful, harmonious new world together!” Hagi-chan: Thanks for the offer, but I’m a police officer. What are you babbling about? I don’t understand. I’ll arrest every last one of you and throw you in jail. And so Hagi-chan, traveling between the worlds of Detective Conan and jujutsu, embarked on a “wonderful” life: working for the jujutsu world, saving his buddies, infiltrating a group of curses, and searching for a way to become human again. Divider The Six Eyes were in a state of collapse. Ever since November 7, the whole world had become inexplicable. Since when did Tokyo have a Beika Town? The Tyrant of Heaven wasn’t dead? And when had Haibara come back to life and become a teacher? After a string of bizarre events, the only good news was that Geto hadn’t defected. The bad news: Geto had gone to Beika Town to become a monkey-worshipping cult leader. After finally finding a newly born Special Grade curse to use as a breakthrough... How did he end up knowing everyone in the world? Hagi-chan: I have no idea! They just came charging over, shouting about friendship and bonds. Divider Officer Matsuda, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s bomb squad ace. “Sorry, Hagiwara. I couldn’t keep our promise...” “What stupid promise? I told you, it was just a joke!” A handsome face suddenly appeared right in front of him. Officer Matsuda: Huh? Is this my life flashing before my eyes? The next second, the bomb went off inside the gondola. But it was... a tiny firework? Not far from the Ferris wheel, Nanami Kento was pinning an ugly-looking man to the ground. “Bombers are scum!” Scotch, a codename member of the distillery, was an undercover investigator who had secretly infiltrated an international criminal organization. On the rooftop, Rye gripped the barrel of his gun and said gravely, “I’m with the FBI...” The next second, footsteps approached. While Rye was distracted, Scotch pulled the trigger... But the death he expected never came. The bullet stopped a millimeter from his chest and went no farther. “Thank goodness! I made it just in time! Morofushi, hurry and come with me...” His long-dead colleague suddenly appeared in front of him, grabbed his wrist, and tried to drag him away. “Wait! Hagiwara! I have to die...” Hagi-chan: “Die? Just pretend, okay? Gojo, ” “Unlimited Void.” Captain Date, a detective with the First Investigation Division, was on his way to a call. After staying awake for a whole day and night, he didn’t notice the truck hurtling toward him. The next second, he went flying Huh? Why hadn’t he landed yet? He opened his eyes. A giant bird had him by the back of his collar, dangling him in the air. Date: ?! Wataru Takagi: “Put Captain Date down!” Hagiwara: “Megumi! Put the captain down!” Sakai Megumi: “Nue.” Divider Divider A little preview of my next novel: Magical Girl Beats Curses to a Pulp [Crossover: Jujutsu Kaisen, Detective Conan, Puella Magi Madoka Magica] [Female lead is a super-strong girl and a violent healer] [The female lead has a one-sided crush on Hiromitsu Morofushi; everyone else has a one-sided crush on her] Kumoi Ukai was born with a birthmark on her face and abandoned at an orphanage. She grew up being bullied, and her life was a complete mess. She thought she would spend the rest of her life suffering helplessly, until an accident exposed her to the other side of the world. What were these ugly monsters? And who was this Kyubey, clamoring to make a contract with her? Kumoi Ukai knew there was no such thing as a free lunch, but when she saw her beloved upperclassman, Hiromitsu, lying in a pool of blood, she still made the contract and became a magical girl. “Whoa! Geto, look! A magical girl, just like in anime!” The two strongest sorcerers had hurried over to help after sensing a curse. Watching the magical girl wielding a magic wand and brutally beating a curse inside the school building, Gojo Satoru couldn’t help exclaiming. “But... can you use a magic wand like that?” “How bloody! How violent!” Kumoi Ukai had wished to eliminate impurity, so she gained a purification ability similar to the reverse cursed technique. Since she hadn’t mastered her magic yet, she had to physically beat a few Grade 2 curses to death. After casually shaking the blood off her magic wand, Kumoi Ukai was invited by two strange men to enroll at Tokyo Jujutsu High. “It’d be a terrible waste not to study at the school when you’re a mage with such a powerful physique!” Kumoi Ukai turned them down on the spot! What school? She’d never heard of it! First of all, she was going to get into Tokyo University and become a lawyer or a doctor! Did they know how much lawyers and doctors made in a month? As for sorcerers, what kind of niche job was that? She’d never even heard of it! What was the employment rate? Were the career prospects good? Could she get rich? Second, was her upperclassman, Hiromitsu, at the school? Her kind, gentle, beautiful, adorable, angelic upperclassman, Hiromitsu Morofushi! Back then, Kumoi Ukai had never dared approach Hiromitsu Morofushi because of her birthmark, her status as an orphan, and her extraordinary strength. Now that she was a magical girl, her birthmark was gone and she had a beautiful face. Of course she was going to try to win Hiromitsu Morofushi’s heart! “Is that so?” Gojo Satoru gave a cold laugh, then took off his sunglasses, revealing breathtaking good looks and the fee sorcerers earned for a single mission. Kumoi Ukai: !!! Gojo Satoru: “Cute miss, Tokyo Jujutsu High has the handsome men and money you’re looking for!” Kumoi Ukai: “I’m in! I’ll enroll right now!” Kumoi Ukai: “Just so we’re clear! I’m only doing this for the money! It has nothing to do with handsome men! My heart still belongs to my upperclassman, Hiromitsu!” Gojo Satoru: “Sure, sure, got it. Let’s get you enrolled first!” Bonus scene: Ieiri Shoko: “Truth time! Ukai, describe the guy you like most.” Kumoi Ukai: “The person I like has beautiful blue eyes...” Gojo Satoru: “Could it be...” Kumoi Ukai: “A gentle personality that makes you feel the warmth of a mother...” Geto Suguru: “Could she mean...” Kumoi Ukai: “A careful, meticulous approach to studying, and a serious, dependable attitude toward work...” Nanami Kento: “Kumoi...” Kumoi Ukai: “I’m going on a date with him next weekend!” Haibara Yu: “Question! So who is it?” Kumoi Ukai: “The most perfect person in the world, Hiromitsu Morofushi!” Everyone: “Huh?” Who? Core themes: Find redemption, save friends, fight evil, and build a harmonious, happy family.
