I Faked Amnesia and Took the Protagonist’s Love Interest

A gorgeous, scheming con artist gong x a sharp-tongued but soft-hearted overbearing CEO shou

Shi Weiyue is a con artist. By chance, he transmigrates into a dog-blood novel as a minor cannon fodder character. From the start, he is lying in a pool of blood, a victim of a car accident.

The System tells him he's responsible for advancing the relationship between the main couple, and can retire once the shou gets pregnant.

According to the plot, the cannon fodder he plays is hit by the main gong, Lu Chengzhou, and loses his memory. Lu takes him home to care for him, but later, at a villain's direction, he steals Lu Chengzhou's business secrets.

After that, the main shou exposes him to Lu Chengzhou, and he ends up in prison.

But in reality, when the main shou exposes Shi Weiyue, Lu Chengzhou quietly shields him behind his back. "He didn't do it. He's still young."

The System shrieks, "That's wrong! This is completely different from the original story!"

At this point, the plot completely derails and automatically generates the next story beat.

In the new plot, the cannon fodder pretends to have been drugged and tries to seduce Lu Chengzhou, continuing his efforts to steal confidential information.

But Lu Chengzhou sees through the scheme and arranges for a lackey to take care of the cannon fodder, while he spends a night of passion with the main shou.

Shi Weiyue isn't about to sleep with anyone just to complete a mission. So he waits and waits, expecting a lackey to come in and knock him out.

But the person who arrives isn't a lackey. It's Lu Chengzhou himself.

Shi Weiyue doesn't knock him out.

After that night, he keeps waiting for the System to announce, "You're pregnant! Finally, you're pregnant!"

Shi Weiyue then takes his System reward and leaves Lu Chengzhou, opening a cafe.

One day, an unexpected visitor comes to the cafe: Lu Chengzhou, with a slight baby bump.

Shi Weiyue senses trouble and pretends to have amnesia again. "Excuse me, have we met?"

Lu Chengzhou knows that the little con artist he brought home is a liar.

But he can't resist the gentle, handsome young man following him around and calling him big brother.

Lu Chengzhou thinks he can keep him by his side forever, as long as he behaves.

Until the end of a banquet, when the little con artist's body heats up and his eyes grow misty. "Big brother, I feel awful."

Lu Chengzhou stands outside the door for a long time, then finally pushes open the little con artist's bedroom door.

Later, Lu Chengzhou receives his pregnancy test results, only to learn that the little con artist has run away from home.

"Find him, no matter where he is." Lu Chengzhou clutches the report.

News soon arrives: the little con artist has opened a cafe and hired several handsome young waiters.

Stroking his still barely noticeable belly, Lu Chengzhou follows the address to the cafe.

The other man has grown thinner and more toned. His apron outlines his trim waist, and he stands out even among the handsome men and beautiful women around him.

But he gives Lu Chengzhou a puzzled look. "Excuse me, have we met?"

Lu Chengzhou's face darkens, but a cold smile curls his lips. He takes the young man's hand and presses it against his own belly. "How could we not know each other? You're the father of my child."

Little Scene:

The System discovers that its Host always manages to send the original plot off course.

System: Host, why did the main gong leave the dejected main shou behind and stay with you? I thought you weren't afraid of the dark.

Shi Weiyue: You don't understand. He has to show up when the main shou is at his lowest. It's not time yet.

System: Host, if you're thirsty, go get some water. Why are you pestering the main gong to nurse? That's not in the System's mission.

Shi Weiyue: You don't understand. Acting like an idiot is more convincing this way.

System: Host, isn't the main gong treating you too well? You won't go soft on him, will you?

Shi Weiyue crosses his arms. "You don't understand. I have no conscience."

Much later, Shi Weiyue presses his ear against Lu Chengzhou's pregnant belly and warns the System, "Quiet. I'm listening to the baby's heartbeat."

Reading guide for the middle and later chapters:

Neither protagonist is perfect, especially the gong. By opening this story, you agree to that, so please don't criticize either of them for their personalities.

No switching or reversing the pairing, and please don't put either one down to praise the other.

The gong is dominant in bed. The author isn't into submissive gongs for now.

I adore both the gong and the shou. When I get carried away writing, I adore them both even more, and can't promise equal adoration.
