This is the first story I ever had the courage to submit for a contract. It wasn't accepted, so I'm keeping it as a memento.
A no-nonsense, do-it-all leader heroine who is a Guide x a stoic on the outside, warm-hearted, devoted, and patient Sentinel hero
A three-legged crow spirit guide chasing the sun x a super-soft snow leopard spirit companion
A passionate heroine's comeback + mutual salvation + a love-rival showdown between the male lead and the second male lead
Jin Wu was a B-rank Guide, but her compatibility with every Sentinel she'd met so far was extremely low. She had never entered a Sentinel's mental landscape and couldn't provide them with mental guidance.
So what was the point of her being a Guide?
Jin Wu could only watch other Guides and Sentinels bond, take on missions together and rank up, then step by step reach the pinnacle of life.
Maybe one day she'd wake up to find every Guide in the world a million times weaker, while she stayed the same. Then every Sentinel would beg her for mental guidance. Hmph, even if they begged, they'd have to get in line!
Reassuring herself, Jin Wu threw herself into her work. But she accidentally triggered an alarm on the job, got hauled straight into the interrogation room, and was demoted to a branch tower in the slums.
This wasn't how the plot was supposed to go! Weren't they supposed to give her a golden finger and turn her into a top-tier Guide?! Jin Wu punched the author in the head.
Easy now! The S-rank Sentinel assigned to you is rushing over as fast as he can. You'll be the one to uncover the truth of this world. (As soon as the author said this, they covered their head and ran away.)
Fine, I'll trust you this once. Jin Wu lowered her fist and turned to face the reality before her.
