The ordinary life of Yan Yiyi, a high school sophomore, is turned upside down when her uncle is unexpectedly caught up in a loan-sharking scandal. As fear consumes her family, she sheds her childishness, secretly contacts the police, and becomes a "silent pawn" in an anti-crime operation.
At the same time, the mysterious Yan Shuo arrives in her life, seeking revenge. One stays in a safe house, honing himself into a blade of information; the other ventures into the lion's den, stirring up trouble in the criminal empire known as Starlight Paradise. Silent comrades separated by a world of worldly turmoil, they fight side by side with codes and signals. With absolute trust and understanding, they gradually pry open an impregnable kingdom of darkness.
When the long-buried crimes are finally brought to light, revenge reaches its end. Through this ordeal of blood and fire, she finds her path forward and resolves to enter the police academy and become a true protector. He completes his final redemption and leaves for distant shores.
The night comes to an end. Though their paths diverge, they will meet again at the summit.
