Lured into Reform by Her Highness the Princess Royal

#Serious, stone-faced, adorably lethal assassin & glamorous, scheming, seductive eldest princess

Blurb:

Lan is the greatest assassin in the martial world. But if she wants to leave the House of Wind and Rain and retire, she has no choice but to die.

Her predetermined fate took an unknown turn after she accidentally saved the eldest princess, Ling Tiancheng.

The princess, a woman of noble status, not only paid the House of Wind and Rain a fortune to secure Lan's services, but also invited her to the prince's manor and treated her as an honored guest.

Faced with this killing blade whom everyone feared, the princess not only slept soundly at night, but even invited her to share a bed.

This... was improper.

Such lavish hospitality left Lan ill at ease. With no way to repay her, she could only ask solemnly, "Your Highness, who would you like me to kill?"

But the eldest princess didn't answer. She leaned lazily against a couch and tea table, looking as if she had no bones.

Her red lips curved as she asked pointedly, "Do you know that the proper way to repay someone for saving your life is to give yourself to them?"

Lan immediately replied with respectful seriousness, "If Your Highness has any orders, I will carry them out, even if it costs me my life."

The eldest princess helplessly rubbed her forehead. Her lovely, rippling peach-blossom eyes swept over the assassin kneeling ramrod straight, both reproachful and annoyed.

"You blockhead."

Lan lowered her head, daring not look directly at her. She could only hear her heart pounding like a drum, as ripples rose across a still lake without a breeze and never settled.

Even if she was as cold and hard as a stone, Ling Tiancheng would warm her until she could keep her by her side for the rest of her life.

So, in the hot spring, she pulled Lan into the water, her gaze unconsciously falling on Lan's still-straight back.

The wet, thin fabric could not hide the terrible scars.

The next moment, a hand even paler than Lan's back, which had seen no sunlight in years, gently touched those hideous scars.

"Does it hurt?"

The eldest princess stood in the water, her figure wavering in the steam, wearing nothing at all. Fortunately, the heat and mist offered some cover...

The young girl's ears flushed pink. She had the strength to snap someone's neck with her bare hands, but didn't dare push her away. Her hands hung at her sides, and even her voice grew tense.

"I... I don't know, Your Highness."
