A friend recommended a hyper-realistic full-dive open-world RPG called Hunter World. They said it had incredible freedom and was like a second life, so since I wanted a family, I jumped right in.
“Choose your starting map (each starting map has a different default faction. You can change factions later):
Whale Island (view available) (default surname: Freecss; bonus: 100% favorability with the Freecss family)
Kukuroo Mountain (view available) (default faction: the Zoldyck family; bonus: 100% favorability with the Zoldyck family)
Meteor City (view available) (default faction: the Phantom Troupe; bonus: 100% favorability with the Phantom Troupe)
Kurta Clan Territory (view available) (default faction: the Kurta clan; bonus: 100% favorability with the Kurta clan)
... (click to expand)
?? Continent (unavailable) (default faction: ???; bonus: ?? favorability?)”
For my first playthrough, I decisively chose the Zoldyck family, with its huge number of relatives. I got a dad, Silva, who was handsome and mighty as a lion; a beautiful, elegant mom, Kikyo, who seemed to have eye problems but loved me dearly and pulled me into dress-up games every day; my pretty black-cat big brother, Illumi, who was always staring at me; and a super-cute twin brother born at the same time as me, Milluki! They had some strange family habits, but they all loved me, and I loved my mom, dad, brothers, and sisters too! Yay, we were a very harmonious, loving, happy family!
I’d planned to level up properly before setting off to explore and enjoy this high-freedom world. But my loving, harmonious family was a famous assassin family with plenty of enemies. Before I could upgrade my stats, I was killed at age three in a sneak attack by an enemy, bringing my brief, happy first playthrough to a tearful bad ending.
I still wanted to be their family, but starting a new first playthrough on the Kukuroo Mountain map would overwrite and erase my old save. So, to preserve that playthrough, I was drawn to the model of a blond beauty and chose the Kurta clan, with all its members, for my second playthrough. Yes, it was the Kurta clan, but I was unexpectedly sent to the Kurta clan on the ?? Continent map! There was no blond beauty here. Was I still an orphan? How could this happen!
Keeping the lessons from my first playthrough in mind, I leveled carefully, upgraded honestly, and explored the map slowly. I diligently scoured the map and did quests. I even met a weird older guy and teamed up with him to beat world bosses and level up. Once I reached a certain level, I got a quest from the clan elders: “On an island in the lake lives another branch of our Kurta bloodline. Our kinsmen may have met with disaster. Brave and clever young woman, go find the members of our bloodline.”
The elders’ quest unlocked the map from my first playthrough! The moment I saw the familiar Kukuroo Mountain, I accepted the quest. Yay! My family from the first playthrough, here I come!
The elders’ quest and my search for my family lined up perfectly! Full of anticipation, I followed the quest marker to Yorknew City, where I successfully met my black-cat big brother, lion-like dad, twin brother, and Grandpa Zeno. There was even a new little white-cat brother! I was so happy that I accidentally activated the Scarlet Eyes that came with this playthrough!
The Scarlet Eyes stared at me in shock, eyes wide. “Wait?!”
Oh, and I also met the blond beauty I’d never forgotten!
Hunter World is so much fun! This is exactly what I wanted to play!
A lighthearted story. It may not follow the original plot very closely.
The heroine is overpowered, and her cheat is huge! Anyway, I wrote this for the fun of it!
The CP is Kurapika, no betting on other pairings. The Zoldyck family is all about familial love and doting on her! Since she was only three when her first playthrough ended and hadn’t started formal training yet, all she has left are happy memories.
She’s a sunny, cheerful, healing type, with a 1000% positive filter when it comes to the Zoldycks (including her big brother). There are lots of descriptions of the Zoldycks as cats.
Aside from her unlucky first playthrough, she can solve any problem with her cheat (confirmed).
Theme: Life is all about staying positive
I understand it so well! I just recently got into the trap and started looking for food like crazy!
No way. The teacher won't run away, right?? (Collapse)
