My next novel, My Deity Comes from Huaxia, is about summoning deities. Cute antics and a plea for your love! I'll start writing once it gets enough favorites. No kidding.
Xie Liangchen had a dream. In it, he married a man and lost all hope of a career in government.
The new top scholar, married off as someone's wife!
Xie Liangchen jolted awake. All he remembered was that the man was called Li Chengchao, the emperor's younger brother and the regent who would later hold the entire court in his power.
As for Xie Liangchen, he had passed the imperial examinations and become the top scholar in the very year Li Chengchao became regent.
People said he was extraordinarily talented, having placed first in all three stages of the examinations. But no one knew that right after the banquet celebrating his success, he was taken to the prince's residence, never to set foot in the imperial palace again.
Xie Liangchen didn't want his dream to come true. He had to enter government service first.
He thought the version of himself in the dream had had no connections or powerful backers, so even placing first in all three examinations hadn't earned him anyone willing to speak up for him.
This time, he would enter the court early. Surely he wouldn't end up like the man in his dream.
He never expected that entering court early would only mean meeting Li Chengchao sooner. What was fated couldn't be avoided.
(A short story, written for my own enjoyment. A forceful romance!)

Coming soon: My Deity Comes from Huaxia
Li Ge transmigrated to Blue Star, a parallel world.
At the time, Blue Star was in turmoil. Foreign races invaded, strange species ran rampant, and humans fought back by summoning deities. Nations everywhere established academies to train summoners.
However, among the traditions of each nation's native deities, only the Huaxia pantheon had failed to survive intact for unknown reasons. Its cultural heritage had suffered a severe rupture.
With its pantheon incomplete, Huaxia Academy was ignored, unable to retain talent, and the nation stood on the brink of ruin.
After Li Ge arrived: ??? Are you questioning the credentials of a PhD in Chinese literature whose main research field is the history of mythology?
A genius arrived at Huaxia Academy. At first, the talented students from other nations looked down on him. What kind of genius could a Huaxia civilization with a broken heritage possibly produce?
But then--
At the academy tournament, while the other students formed teams to fight the foreign races, Li Ge, the sole student in Huaxia Academy's new class, outshone the entire arena.
His deity strode on seven-colored clouds, wore a phoenix-winged purple-gold crown and golden chainmail, and swung a staff that dimmed the heavens and earth.
On the battlefield against the foreign races were the three-eyed god who fought alongside a dog, the pink-faced spirit boy who killed without mercy, and... Qin Shi Huang, whose human form rivaled the gods.
The foreign races trembled.
As Huaxia civilization returned, humanity began its counterattack. Li Ge led them to drive out the foreign races, kindle the flame of hope, and restore Blue Star's glory.
Theme: A great dream, and deep love across two lifetimes.
