Their first meeting began with her cutting through the plot to rescue him. She wanted to treat his wounds, but the moment she came close, his lips pressed together until they turned deathly pale. When she accidentally touched his arm, he scratched at his skin until it was a bloody mess.

In the past, people had always wished Nuo Xiaoyang and her boyfriends "ninety-nine forever." At last, she broke down. In the middle of the night, sobbing, she decided to leave the human race behind, but a pair of hands slipped under the covers and gently wiped away her tears.

"Y-y-you, don't come any closer!"

"But you're in a bonding heat."

The man's whisper was like a spell. She was so frightened she tried to get out of bed, but her body was too weak, and he kept pulling her back into his arms. He sweet-talked her until morning. Exhausted, she managed just one sentence: "You seem like a different person."

"Heh. Did you mistake me for that coward?"

Chang Ye laughed slyly in the dark, his pretty face cracking like a mask. The man before her wasn't her favorite character. He was the illustrious head of a noble family, her favorite's twin brother, the one who would chop her favorite into pieces in the comic. Her sworn rival.

"So you're the one who's got my little brother all worked up?"

"You're pretty average."

Later, the coworker who had framed Nuo Xiaoyang was fired, and everyone who had bullied her mysteriously vanished. Things had gone a little off course.

Her darling husband had turned out to be Chang Ye. Rumor had it that when Chang Ye went on a mission, the only things on his belt were his communicator and Nuo Xiaoyang.

She resisted for a day, then quickly accepted it.

Chang Ye might have a terrible personality, but he had the same face as her favorite. If she just kept his mouth shut, he was a delicious substitute. She'd gotten a bargain!

"A-are you running a fever?"

That night, Chang Ye simply held her face, blushing and silent. Nuo Xiaoyang asked anxiously. This was so unusual...

"Fight it out. I'll go with whoever wins!"
