Xia He, an international student working part-time at a shrine, is attacked and stabbed to death by a fugitive serial killer on his way home one night. When he opens his eyes again, he has transmigrated to the Heian period long ago. His body is in terrible condition, and its former owner has serious psychological issues. It seems the two of them are sharing one soul.
Good news: The former owner is still conscious.
Bad news: The former owner says his name is Muzan, Muzan Kibutsuji.
Unable to leave and with no idea how this happened, Xia He starts putting on an act, hoping to set the future villain on the right path.
Xia He: Actually, I'm the conscience deep inside you.
Little Muzan: Do I even have a conscience?
Theme: A new beginning.
