In Star Year 826, Qi Ye, ace agent of the Second Star Squadron, was exposed by enemy forces while undercover after protecting her teammates. Her ship exploded, sending her into a dark black hole in space-time.

Her home planet believed she had died in the line of duty and held a grand memorial to honor her illustrious service.

But she hadn't died. When she woke, she found herself on an ancient, primitive planet.

The planet was blue and mostly covered by water. It was also home to life like her. But its technology was so primitive that it hadn't even reached Level One civilization by galactic standards.

The planet's native creatures called their home Earth, and they were the humans who lived there.

After losing her memory, Qi Ye was found by a human woman, who adopted her like a pet, providing her with life's essentials, food, and shelter, and becoming the "older sister" she could rely on.

Jiang Yuexi's mother disappeared when she was young, leaving her only one possession: a remote island.

When she grew up, she inherited the island and became its solitary keeper.

Then one day, she found a woman. The woman was beautiful, with long ink-black hair and delicate features, like a heavenly immortal descended to the mortal world.

But her memory was a blank page. Like a newborn, she looked around in confusion and waited for her to guide her.

The woman knew only her own name: Qi Ye, in transliteration.

At a loss, Jiang Yuexi fed and watered her, taught her survival skills, and showed her around the island.

She never expected the woman to be so strong. She could scale mountains and overturn seas at will, and shoot a seabird from ten thousand meters in the sky with a single bullet.

Just as she began trying to figure out who the woman was, something changed. Qi Ye seemed to have received a summons and climbed to the top of the island's tower. Jiang Yuexi had no idea there was a hidden door up there, or that it concealed her mother's bones and a control panel covered in buttons!

The screen on the panel showed what looked like a barrier, far beyond the distant solar system, as if it sealed the solar system off from the outside world.

Little by little, Jiang Yuexi finally understood everything.

Why Qi Ye depended on her so much.

Why senior researchers kept making unexpected visits to her island.

Why she and her mother had to remain trapped on the island forever.

She remembered her childhood dream: she wanted to escape, to break out of the cage built for her and flee the isolated island.

Beside her, Qi Ye smiled, her eyes shining, like a mad dog with nothing to fear.

No matter where in the universe she was, Qi Ye always kept her word.

Their story spread across countless civilizations, though it had begun long, long ago.
