Extrovert vs. reserved type

I'm an orphan.
One day, a demon attacked my home, and someone saved me.
His name was Giyu Tomioka, a swordsman who slays demons.
Because of him, I joined the Demon Slayer Corps and became his junior.
Later, he said he wanted me to become his Tsuguko and inherit the title of Water Hashira.
I agreed.
Not because I wanted to be his Tsuguko, but because it meant I could move into his home.
I really like him. After moving in, I trained hard, went on missions with him, and gathered intelligence. I was busy every single day.
I thought, it wouldn't be so bad if things stayed this way forever.
But then, one day.
He informed me with a serious expression, “You don't have to be my Tsuguko anymore.”
?
How could that be okay!

While slaying demons, Giyu Tomioka saved a human girl.
It was an entirely ordinary thing. His job was to slay demons and save people, as routinely as eating and sleeping.
When he learned that the girl wanted to slay demons, he introduced her to a trainer living on Mount Sagiri.
That, too, was an ordinary thing, part of his duties.
But he never expected that he and the girl would have such an unexpected connection.
Whether he was on a mission, searching for information, or doing something else, he always seemed to run into her.
Whenever she saw him, she'd come bouncing over with a bright smile and call out crisply, “Senior Brother.”
Giyu Tomioka wasn't used to such familiarity, so he never responded.
After countless unusual chance encounters, he and the girl gradually began going on missions together.
He also saw that she had astonishing talent, so he asked her to become his Tsuguko.
The girl agreed readily and moved into his home.
He didn't know who had told her that becoming a Tsuguko meant she could move into a Hashira's home, but when he saw her excited expression, the words of refusal stopped on his lips for the first time.
After that, the girl was always by his side, working and training with him, even eating and sleeping alongside him.
She didn't disappoint him. Before long, she had killed a Lower Rank demon on her own and even created her own Breathing Style.
Although she didn't inherit the title of Water Hashira as he had hoped, he was sincerely happy for her.
That day, he deliberately set aside some free time to tell her, “You don't have to be my Tsuguko anymore.”
The girl agreed just as readily as before.
She blinked, then suddenly moved closer, pinning him against the doorway.
Her voice was as sincere as ever. “Then… can I be your wife?”
For the first time, Giyu Tomioka failed to keep his emotions in check and stood frozen.
And he heard his own heart suddenly begin to race in panic.

*Female lead pursues the male lead; she is an extrovert
*No unusual original settings for the female lead; feel free to imagine yourself in her place
*The female lead uses Wood Breathing, a derivative of Water Breathing, and is the Forest Hashira
*Pure sweet romance, one-on-one pairing, happy ending
*No Hashira or demons are turned into a second male lead
*OOC warning: this is my take on Giyu
Theme: Sincerity can move anything.
