The Little Maid of the Duke's Mansion

Ming Lu transmigrates into the body of a fire-tending maid in the Duke of Shou's manor.

All she wants is to work hard, save enough silver to buy her freedom, and live an ordinary, carefree life.

But one after another, the young maids around her meet with misfortune, and even the only motherly woman who treats her kindly nearly loses her life.

Ming Lu gradually realizes that in this sprawling manor, no one can stay untouched by trouble.

Since a peaceful life is out of reach, she will climb her way up, even if the path is strewn with thorns.

From the firewood room to becoming the senior maid in the Old Madam's courtyard,

she navigates the Duke's manor and finally breaks free of its constraints.

A sudden upheaval at a palace banquet gives Ming Lu the chance to save the Seventh Prince and escape the Duke's manor.

From a servant girl, she enters the treacherous world of court politics.

From the moment she steps into the palace, every move she makes is a matter of life and death.

In the end, she wears the phoenix crown and stands atop the Forbidden City.

Looking back, Ming Lu can still see the little maid who only wanted to buy her freedom.

But the only one who survived is Empress Ming, with a heart as hard as iron.
