A Desperate Straight Man Studies Same-Sex Egg-Laying Among Dragons

The gong has lived as a human for over twenty years, only to suddenly be told that he is actually a dragon.

And not just any dragon, but the missing former prince of a dragon clan from another plane.

Why “former” prince? Because the last emperor in his family died of old age years ago, and the marshal who commanded a hundred thousand troops took the throne. His family has already lost its crown.

The bad news: He can’t inherit the throne, get promoted and earn a raise, or reach the pinnacle of life.

The good news: He is betrothed to the new emperor, who plans to have a child with him. He can pack up and go home to become empress, with the power to govern.

The dragon clan has difficulty reproducing and few offspring, so the new emperor takes this marriage very seriously.

And they say the new emperor is both beautiful and powerful, ranked number one among all dragons in looks and ability. In short, he has nothing to lose.

His research can wait. He’ll pack his bags and go home to get married.

On the first day he is brought back to the dragon clan, the gong comes face-to-face with the new emperor: tall, strong, imposing, and capable of slapping ten of him to death with one hand.

Confusion → stunned silence → terror.

He is good-looking, sure, but isn’t there something wrong with his gender?

No one mentioned before bringing him back that the new emperor was a macho hunk!

The gong (breaking down): “Are you giving birth, or am I?”

Wait, does he even have the ability to lay eggs?

The new emperor looks him up and down, then reaches a conclusion. “I will.”

Well... that’s impressive.
