[Rivals to Lovers | Stalker Romance | Nonhuman | Equally Matched]
Ying Yan, the strongest human in the Infinite World, died in the final showdown against the BOSS.
Before he died, he forced a kiss on the Infinite World's final BOSS.
It wasn't for any other reason. The thing had actually disguised itself as a human and, inside the dungeons, had played out one ambiguous duel (romance) after another with him.
Only belatedly did Ying Yan realize he'd been made a complete fool of.
This thing had no feelings at all. It was simply observing and imitating humans, with a touch of curiosity and mischief.
If that was the case, Ying Yan decided to return the favor.
"I can accept the deal you proposed earlier," Ying Yan said, barely conscious, his breath faint. "Come here."
The monster hovering in midair paused for a long moment, then finally took on a familiar form. Its cold, indifferent gaze fell on the bloody hole in Ying Yan's chest.
It came closer, as if doing him a great honor.
Gathering his last bit of strength, Ying Yan raised his head and bit the corner of its lip, giving it a violent, blood-soaked kiss.
Then he tilted his head and died, paying no heed to the BOSS's stunned, bewildered stare.
That single moment of complicated emotion and action would be enough to keep the thing thinking for the rest of its life.
When Ying Yan opened his eyes again, he wasn't in the endless hell or some dreamlike paradise.
A face so handsome it could not be human was right in front of him. Seeing him wake, it said, "In the human world, after a kiss comes dating, then mating. We haven't reached the final step yet, so you can't die."
Ying Yan: "..."
It said, "Let's fall in love. We'll start by practicing kissing again."
*He was resurrected after forcing a kiss on his nemesis.*
*Not only was he brought back to life, he was locked up too.*
"What kind of situation is this?"
Content warnings:
* Nonhuman gong with no morals and a distinctly inhuman nature. He and the shou fight viciously early on. They are true enemies.
* The story takes place after the Infinite World shuts down. The shou sacrifices himself to free all humanity, and the gong keeps only him.
* Stalker romance. The gong and shou's early interactions can be bloody.
* As mentioned, this is a stalker romance, but love is the foundation. It's not a traditional stalker romance. No children! No children! No children! There will be some things like egg-laying, though.
Theme: Love may lie beyond mountains and seas, but mountains and seas can be crossed.
