Ming Shu had been told by a fortune-teller since childhood, “You were born with the destiny of a phoenix, but unfortunately you were born at the wrong time.” He had thought it was a joke. Fortune-tellers weren’t accurate.
He never imagined that after he transmigrated, he would end up in ancient worlds inhabited by male-born children, and would truly become an empress in every single one.
In these worlds, men could give birth. It was never what he wanted, but through a series of twists and turns, he rose higher and higher. Faced with the coercion, ruthless oppression, and forced possession in each world, he had nowhere to run.
World One:
Ming Shu was an unloved male-born child in the Grand Tutor’s household. He was forced to take his elder brother’s place in an arranged marriage to the Crown Prince, whose position was precarious. Unexpectedly, the Crown Prince later ascended the throne and chose him alone from among three thousand beauties.
Elder brother: In my previous life, I married the useless Crown Prince. When he was deposed, I ended up under house arrest for the rest of my life. Now that I’ve been reborn, I’ll marry the Fourth Prince, the winner in my previous life. As for that useless Crown Prince, let my timid younger brother marry him!
Who could have guessed that the Crown Prince would end up ascending the throne, while the Fourth Prince was merely made a prince? The elder brother watched the lofty emperor and the Fourth Prince treat his younger brother with utmost devotion, completely baffled. Why was this life different?
World Two:
A sweet, delicate male-born child saved someone, who turned out to be the Third Prince. The Third Prince fell in love at first sight, and repaid the life-saving favor by offering himself in marriage. The boy became the Third Prince’s principal consort and eventually rose to become empress.
Sweet, delicate boy: In my previous life, I saved the Third Prince. He was impotent and uninterested in beauty, and died young without a good end. So what if he became emperor? He was still a failure in the end. This time, someone else can save him. My goal is the Sixth Prince, who’ll inherit the throne after his elder brother dies.
Who could have guessed that the Third Prince would end up ascending the throne, leaving his harem empty and loving only one person? The sweet, delicate boy knelt before the new empress, filled with regret. Later, when he saw the Sixth Prince’s consort’s true face, he began to doubt his own life. He had only one question: Wait, who was the empress in the palace?
World Three: ...
