Can a Bad Mouse Be Someone's Wife?

Nobody likes rats. Especially not someone like Shu Shu, with messy short hair, two prominent front teeth, and a face covered in freckles. Through hard work, Shu Shu finally managed to get in good with the local crime boss and became his kept lover. After going with the crime boss to a wild party, Shu Shu woke up holding a knife, with a big shot on the bed, blood spurting out of him. Shu Shu's face went pale. He couldn't even speak. Before Shu Shu had a chance to enjoy the good life, he was accused of murder. * Gou Ri felt like his whole life had been one long run of bad luck. His parents died when he was a child, and he ended up in an orphanage. As an adult, he became a lackey for the local crime boss, but even he made less money than a rat selling his body. Looking at the two pounds of makeup on Shu Shu's face, Gou Ri sneered inwardly. Ugly. He knew the crime boss wasn't interested in Shu Shu, and only treated him like a plaything. Gou Ri hadn't gotten the chance to watch Shu Shu get dumped and mock the rat. Instead, he found Shu Shu sitting in a pool of blood, sobbing and wiping away tears. Gou Ri hadn't wanted to get involved, but Shu Shu clung desperately to his leg, tilting his head back and wailing. His makeup smeared all over Gou Ri's trouser leg, revealing the freckles on his face. Gou Ri swore under his breath, hoisted Shu Shu over his shoulder, and jumped aboard a garbage truck headed for the slums. Shu Shu, huddled in his arms, trembled and could no longer hold back his sorrow. "Waaah! My Federation citizenship, gone just like that!" In the slums, Gou Ri had to watch out for the police coming to arrest them while also fighting the locals for food. Exhausted and dizzy, Gou Ri finally got home, only to find Shu Shu wearing makeup again, dressed in a black lace miniskirt and carrying a knockoff handbag. Shu Shu looked up at him, beaming with delight, and announced that he'd found a great job. He could earn three silver coins for spending a night serving someone. Gou Ri listened to Shu Shu babble on, unable to hold back any longer. He grabbed Shu Shu by the arm and threw the rat onto the bed. "Say that again." "Who told you to wear that skirt?" "Idiot!" Shu Shu cried all night and nearly died in bed. 1.
