Echoes of Longing

Five years after breaking up with Shen Qian, she ran into him again.

He hadn't changed at all. As for her, she was injured, her eyes red, kneeling on the ground and looking utterly pitiful.

He Yinyue looked at him and the young woman beside him, then lowered her eyes.

The man immediately came over and picked her up.

"I'll take you to the hospital."

He Yinyue had wanted to refuse, but Shen Qian said,

"You've lost weight."

Only later did He Yinyue learn that the young woman was his cousin.

Shen Qian had someone he loved. The year they were in college, his mother forced him to go abroad, and he had no choice but to give her up.

When they met again, Shen Qian knelt on one knee and picked her up. The woman in his arms had grown much lighter.

Later, he discovered that the neighbor across the hall was her.
