[Infinite] Street Cleaner Simulator
[无限]清道夫模拟器
Synopsis
You are a player.
When you open your eyes, you find yourself waiting for a ride beside a highway.
[Welcome to the Infinite Highway]
[You have been bound to: Cleaner Simulator]
[Mission triggered: Find a corpse (preferably someone else’s)]
[Time limit: Three hours]
[Special reminder: Failure is your responsibility]
Looking at the desolate highway stretching endlessly before you, you slowly form a question mark in your mind.
In the middle of nowhere, where are you supposed to find a corpse?
Fortunately, with ten minutes left on the countdown, a car finally pulls up in front of you.
A red-haired, green-eyed man rolls down the window. “Miss, do you need any help?”
You take a look at the car.
The hood is dented all over, and there are suspicious brown stains on it.
You look up and continue examining the man.
There are traces of blood around his earlobes that he hasn’t cleaned off. His gaze is lingering on your neck.
You look down.
You’re wearing a bright green jade necklace around your neck.
You suddenly understand.
Common sense says you should refuse to get in, because this man is dangerous.
But your body seems to reject your brain’s suggestion.
Is it because of the countdown in the simulator in your mind?
No, it’s the adrenaline surging through you.
“Thank you.” You smile, climb into the passenger seat, and shut the door. “My car just broke down.”
“It’s no trouble.” The man turns to you with a smile. “I’d be happy to give you a ride.”
You don’t pay much attention to anything else the man says.
You’re looking at his bright green eyes.
Beautiful.
Just like your jade necklace.
They’d look lovely in a collection.
A moment later, you struggle to stuff the now lifeless man into the trunk.
[Mission complete: Find a corpse.]
[Mission reward: Vehicle x1, Corpse x1.]
You stare at the words floating before you and fall silent for a moment.
“You mean,” you say without expression, “this wreck of a car and this corpse are my rewards?”
[Occupation binding confirmed: Cleaner]
[Occupation description: They may not smell very good, but they are your employees.]
[Host has acquired “Starter Vehicle.”]
[The Infinite Highway officially begins.]
You have entered the Infinite Highway.
You have no memories, but you seem unusually familiar with ambushing people, killing them, and dumping their bodies.
In only a week, your trunk is already too full to fit any more corpses.
You must have been a thoroughly irredeemable villain before this.
You guess idly.
[You have unlocked a new title: “Shadow of the Highway.”]
[You have unlocked a new achievement: “Wanted Criminal.”]
The Infinite Highway is now in a state of alarm because of you. No one dares get into a stranger’s car anymore.
You feel a little bored.
The finish line is close. You’re just one step away from escaping this crazy world for good.
But you’re still bored.
So you turn your attention to “It.”
[You have unlocked a new achievement: “Under Its Gaze.”]
[Warning: It is watching you.]
[Warning: It is watching you.]
[Warning: Watching you.]
[Warning: You.]
You ignore the System’s warnings and keep doing as you please.
[Warning: Something is wriggling beneath your skin.]
[Warning: A new pupil has grown behind your lens.]
[Warning: A fine scraping sound is coming from the inside of your teeth.]
[Warning: The folds of your brain are surging like waves.]
[Warning: Your thoughts are being rewritten into characters you cannot recognize.]
At last, you hear the notification you’ve been waiting for.
[Prerequisites fulfilled.]
[You have entered the Ascension Sequence: Stele.]
