My first work, still rough around the edges. Read with caution.
[Quirky Dream-Eating Divine Beast x Cold-on-the-Outside, Soft-on-the-Inside Insomniac CEO]
Sweet girl vs. cool guy. They start out living together, and both get their comeuppance.
[1]
Shu Ye woke up to find a strikingly handsome man standing at the foot of her bed.
He wore a dark expression and seemed to be in a terrible mood. "We only met once. How did you end up in my bed?"
Shu Ye hugged the blanket close, her gaze oddly innocent. "I don't know either. Maybe I sleepwalked through the wrong door."
The man was so angry he laughed. "Fine. Try explaining that to the police."
He thought she was a gold-digging woman with something wrong with her head, but then she came out with something utterly astounding: "The police can't help you. If you get more than a hundred paces away from me, you'll die."
Shen Chuyao: "??"
*
Shu Ye was a dream-eating divine beast, a Feifei, born to gather spiritual energy by eating dreams.
After being forced to come to the modern world, she was nearly starving to death, until she caught the delicious scent of a top-tier nightmare on Shen Chuyao.
She climbed into this big-shot investor's bed and feasted to her heart's content while he slept.
Who knew that when she woke up, she'd be bound to the most beast-unfriendly contract in history: she couldn't get more than a hundred paces away from him?!
Go farther than a hundred paces and she'd instantly turn into a bristling little beast and pass out wherever she stood!
Shu Ye gazed up at the sky and lamented, "His nightmares may be delicious, but they're not worth signing away my freedom for."
Until she accidentally kissed him and her spiritual energy suddenly shot up.
Shu Ye: "!!!"
A new plan for her life as a beast was instantly drawn up: 1. Stick with him. 2. Eat his nightmares. 3. Cuddle up to him and stockpile spiritual energy like crazy!

Shen Chuyao, a venture capital CEO, was a dazzling young heir to a wealthy family in public, but in private he suffered nightmares every night and severe insomnia.
That is, until he met Shu Ye, who claimed to be a "music therapist specializing in sleep."
She said she could help him sleep, and that they were bound together by a curse that meant they couldn't stray too far from each other.
What an unusual way to get close to him. He watched her coldly, waiting to see how long she could keep up the act.
Until one day, when Shen Chuyao's brakes failed and his car hurtled down a mountain road, she transformed into a huge white beast and stopped the car with one paw at the edge of a cliff.
Shen Chuyao: "..."
*
Later, Shen Chuyao's insomnia was cured without medication.
In its place came his Feifei's daily "orders."
Clinging to his arm, she asked eagerly, "Could you dream up something exciting tonight? My tastes have gotten a little intense lately."
In a private hot spring, he pulled her into the water.
Ripples spread across the surface, swallowing her faint gasp.
The man's breath was scorching as it brushed her ear.
"It's simple."
"I'll make the dream."
"You can take your time eating it."
Reader's note:
1. Feifei (fei fei). The female lead is a little chuunibyou.
One-on-one romance, both leads are pure, happy ending.
2. This is not a story about an all-powerful female lead. It's light fantasy, mainly about a couple falling in love.
3. There is a reason for the male lead's cool restraint early on. He actually loves her deeply. His personality and backstory will be explained in the story.
4. A mountain of author-invented details. The city names are fictional and not based on real places.
5. For convenience, the timeline in the blurb differs slightly from the story, but it won't affect your reading.
Theme: Address the struggles of the modern mind, break through anxiety, and bring healing
It feels like Shen Chuyao and Shu Ye Maomao have different values, so there will be conflicts and collisions. But although Shen Chuyao may not understand, he knows how to respect and think of solutions in time. The boss also has a delicate and gentle side, and he even secretly pokes and acts coquettishly, haha. Shuye Maomao also has his own persistence and will not hesitate to give up just because of a dispute. Well, I like [Orange Candy] and I got it. [Orange Candy] I got it.
What a failure, the mythical beast is so weak that it really looks like a cat
I've seen the updated parts in two days. The setting is quite novel, and the author's writing is quite smooth as a newbie. But now that I see it, there are some places that I feel uncomfortable about and I want to mention them (non-writing guidance 🙏): First of all, what I dislike the most is that most of the troubles the heroine encounters in the article are brought by the male protagonist. The heroine encounters troubles caused by the people around the male protagonist, and then the trouble is solved by the male protagonist. Secondly, the heroine's several troubles have basically become a warming agent for the relationship between the two. I feel that the author has not yet broken away from the narrative routine in ancient novels that enhances the relationship by making the heroine get hurt. To be honest, many readers now, including me, don't like this storyline very much. Also, there is no doubt that the male protagonist loves more than the female protagonist emotionally. But to be honest, there are more descriptions of the male protagonist's tragic past in the article, and most of the plot revolves around the male protagonist's family. At present, it is actually the female protagonist who has taken more actions than the male protagonist. The female protagonist has always been by the male protagonist's side, slowly healing the male protagonist. But apart from solving the troubles caused by the people around him to the heroine, the male protagonist actually doesn't pay much for the heroine, so I feel that the heroine's love for the hero is superficial, and I feel that she will have more compassion for the hero. Then, in my opinion, it is right for the male protagonist to stand up for the female protagonist many times (it is the same as mentioned before, because the trouble is brought by the male protagonist). For example, the female protagonist is misunderstood by the male protagonist's aunt and speaks harshly. This incident itself is caused by the male protagonist's complicated family. The male protagonist should protect the female protagonist. This kind of thing makes the female protagonist feel that the male protagonist cares and may be a little moved. I personally feel that the logic is not very appropriate. The above only represents my personal opinion 🙏
Big cheers for more updates! Want to read the next chapter?
So cute Shushu Cat
The character setting is very good, but the writing is a bit bad. I feel that the emotions of the male and female protagonists are quite inexplicable 🤔
