Cheng Mingzhi and Gu Ning had been together for two years. After a gathering one evening, she heard Gu Ning joking with a friend outside the private room: "Mingzhi is great in every way, just a little boring."
Cheng Mingzhi was about to turn and leave when she suddenly heard Lu Xunzhou speak up: "I think she's very interesting."
"Why don't you two break up?"
"Xunzhou, don't joke around."
After a few rounds of drinks, Lu Xunzhou insisted on taking her home, ignoring Gu Ning's surprise and disbelief.
Gu Ning tried to stop him. Lu Xunzhou said, "Why are you so nervous? Afraid I'll steal her away?"
Lu Xunzhou was as bright and noble as the wind and moon, as graceful as an orchid in a secluded valley. Gu Ning trusted him completely.
Knowing Mingzhi lived alone, Lu Xunzhou didn't betray his friend's trust.
He took excellent care of her all night.
On the day Gu Ning planned to propose, Lu Xunzhou pinned Cheng Mingzhi against the door and kissed her.
Looking at her rumpled collar, Lu Xunzhou wiped the corner of her mouth. "...Want me to go tell him right now just how interesting you are?"
Message: I want to tangle myself up with you.
