Chen Hu, a member of the Sirius Special Operations Assault Team, died in the line of duty.
When he woke again, he found himself on an ancient battlefield.
With his wits and combat skills, he fought his way to survival on a battlefield of cold weapons.
But he saw through the nature of imperial power and refused to become someone else's killing tool. He traded his officer's post as a centurion for money, packed his things, and left the army for home.
It had been exactly twelve years since he was conscripted at sixteen.
Honestly, having lived to nearly thirty in both lives without even holding a woman's hand felt like a raw deal.
At home, there were a few acres of thin farmland, parents bent beneath the burden of life, a younger brother and sister-in-law each with their own agenda, and a younger sister married off to the mountains.
Chen Hu tightened his pack. No rush. After being single from birth in both lives, he would find himself a wife first...
