Gaming Buddy ID: No Cheating

A slacker pro player vs. a workaholic gaming companion

Jiang Mo is a slacker pro player, an AD substitute for a famous LPL retirement team. He comes from a wealthy family, has plenty of hobbies, and thinks he's doing just fine.

One day, he helps a friend who owns a gaming companion shop interview candidates and meets someone who likes playing the same heroes as him.

His name is Yang Yixuan.

Yang Yixuan is three years older than him: mature, levelheaded, gentle, and focused. Every day, he keeps busy making money and takes on more orders. He even switches from AD to jungle to get more work, making him a workaholic among gaming companions.

Jiang Mo takes an interest in Yang Yixuan and often asks him to play together. Sometimes he places orders online under a secret identity; sometimes he meets him in person.

He watches Yang Yixuan climb from Grandmaster to Challenger with a thousand points, go from a newcomer to the top name at the gaming companion shop, and even become so popular that many of the LPL's top players line up to duo with him...

From then on, Jiang Mo's quiet life is turned upside down.

Jiang Mo wants to coast, but somehow, time and again, Yang Yixuan pushes him forward through one twist of fate after another.

Then one day, a new team gives him a crucial chance to play.

Jiang Mo falls into self-doubt because of what happened in the past. Just then, he sees an ID light up on his friends list: Cali.

Cali: A Mo, it's me, Yang Yixuan.

As Jiang Mo looks back on everything that has happened, he suddenly realizes that Yang Yixuan is the dazzling genius he once looked up to in middle school, the one who fell from grace without warning.

Yang Yixuan, a former pro player and popular gaming streamer, was once considered the world's best ADC and the player most likely to lead a team to restore the LPL's former glory. But a malicious frame-up ruined his career and reputation, and online bullying drove him off the internet.

Fortunately, after all these years, no one is digging up dirt on him anymore.

Now, forced by poverty, he can only change his name, get plastic surgery, and start over. Along the way, he meets Jiang Mo, a kindhearted slacker who knows nothing of life's hardships.

He's taken a liking to Jiang Mo.

He's decided to risk everything.

"You can be afraid, but you can't run away."

"For my sake, and for the person I used to be, go see the highest stage."
