After her marriage falls apart due to betrayal, forty-two-year-old Su Min is forced to start her life over. Once a somewhat well-known documentary filmmaker, she starts anew on a short-video platform with candid documentaries, recording the resilient stories of ordinary women around her.
She teams up with Zhou, a young director, as an unlikely pair from different generations, holding fast to her commitment to authenticity in an age ruled by online traffic. Through her lens, she captures the lives of female street vendors, single mothers, silver-haired models, and others. In the process, she also makes peace with her daughter and finds redemption for herself.
Theme: The best time is now, when we know ourselves and bravely move forward.
