"Snow in the Inkstone"
During the rainy season in Shanghai during the Republic of China, Wen Yanzhi of the "Inkstone Guiji" pawn shop spent his days guarding a frosty Duan Inkstone and half a incomplete volume of "Night Watch Notes". A corpse case at the site of a cigarette factory brings police officer Chen Jiu to the door, and also reveals the translucent shadow trapped in the inkstone, Shen Yan, to be involved in the old case.
The thin frost when Wen Yanzhi wiped the inkstone, the silver glow of the candy man in the City God's Temple, the account book burned by his grandfather, and the missing black cloth bag, all clues point to the fire that continued in the 20th year of the Republic of China. She knew that getting closer to the truth would cost herself, but she still wanted to uncover the mystery of Shen Yan's amnesia and the secrets her grandfather had hidden in time.
"Some obsessions are hidden at the bottom of the inkstone, and they have to wait for a rain to melt away the fire of the year." But when the frost melted and the inkstone penetrated, they realized that the most important thing to pawn was never their emotions, but the past that they dared not face.
Intention: Use "snow" as a metaphor for the original intention, and "inkstone" as a metaphor for perseverance
