[Synopsis: Abstract Version]
Jinpei Matsuda, an elite police officer who just died in the line of duty, is now facing a job offer that looks utterly hopeless. A smiling HR representative who looks nothing like a respectable person holds out an olive branch:
"Hey, kid, would you like to sign a contract with me and become a god?"
"Your KPI is simple: just stop your police academy classmates from dying one after another at breakneck speed. Easy, right? Now, let's get going!"
Matsuda: ?
"Your duties include, but aren't limited to:
"1. Beating up the Commissioner General at your graduation ceremony;
"2. Interning at a tech company and taking part in cutting-edge research;
"3. Debuting as a boxer and becoming world-famous;
"..."
Matsuda: ??
"Your future colleagues include:
"A boss whose mental state is somewhat unstable and who might reformat the entire project at any moment, making everything pointless and forcing everyone to start over.
"P.S. Don't worry, they have no plans to run away for now."
Matsuda: Then please hurry up and quit, boss!
"A childhood friend with an unnervingly keen eye who always wants to counsel you.
"Two Public Security agents who've made their undercover careers hellishly difficult.
"And one ordinary, reliable, happy, mature police officer."
Matsuda: Date, you really stick out like a sore thumb in that list!
"Anyway, welcome to [the Miniature Garden]. Here, we work around the clock to save the world and strike at fate.
"Before everything becomes irreversible this time, can you save everyone?"
[Synopsis: Literary Version]
From the moment Jinpei Matsuda awoke once more on the far side of death, time ceased to be a ceaseless current and became a looping prison.
He woke from the barrel of fate's gun and became a traveler through time. He had countless chances to start over, but lost time itself. With his worn-down self as his only bargaining chip, he wagered everything on a battle against his dark fate.
In this game of chess where fate moves the pieces, every being is a pawn. Salvation and destruction share the same source, while memory and oblivion intertwine. When he stopped to look back, he saw echoes of countless versions of himself meeting different ends.
And beyond the unseen horizon, what awaited him? The release that would surely come, a maze forgotten by everyone, or a future where everyone could laugh together?
[Reader Notes]
1. The protagonist is Jinpei Matsuda. No romance, only friendship. I firmly believe they're all the closest of friends!
2. There are original characters, but they're closely tied to the setting and aren't involved in the five-person group's friendship.
3. The worldbuilding takes inspiration from the game City of Forever, but you can enjoy the story without having played it. The setting will be explained.
4. The story focuses on the plot, and I'll do my best to make the logic clear.
5. Happy ending, happy ending, happy ending. I love a big, dumpling-making-style group reunion.
6. There may be angst along the way, but I'll try to avoid angst for its own sake.
That's about it. Thanks, friends, for reading this far. Please shower me with comments and interaction~
Theme: Work hard and save the world
The boss wrote it very well! There is a feeling of watching the final escape of chaotic colors rushing in! Please, please keep writing it!!!
Even though he is in a mess, he is still trying to protect a person who theoretically has a higher status... This is probably one of the reasons why Matsuda can become an executor 😭
Love you boss! Very beautifully written
Hey, hey, has it been updated? It's been updated?
Watching it all the way, it's really super invincible and beautiful [Let me be healthy] Teacher, hurry up and kill me with updates 💪
The boxers are tied! It's obviously a story-telling setting and I haven't seen anything written by Ke Tong. I'm looking forward to it.
😭 Not all the German Shepherds around at the same time have opened up to our Matsuda
[Methodized] When I saw it was Matsuda + Yong 7, I saved it in a second. It was a moment of ecstasy for the two chefs.
