The heroine is a county magistrate. While out suppressing bandits, she finds a man who has tumbled down a hillside and landed beneath her horse's hooves.
The young master is badly injured and unconscious, and she can't find his family, so she has no choice but to put him up at her private residence for now and wait until he wakes up before deciding what to do.
She keeps waiting for him to wake, hoping she might get some information about the bandits from him. To avoid complications, she keeps it from her husband.
Several days pass. The heroine starts to wonder if he's pretending to be asleep and is about to force him awake when the young master finally stirs.
She goes to see him. The moment she steps inside, she sees him with red-rimmed eyes and a frightened expression. At the sight of her, he throws himself into her arms and cries, "Wife!"
The heroine: I really can't do that!
The hero opens his eyes and discovers that he has transmigrated.
He's ended up inside the novel his roommate had been ranting about a few days earlier, angrily criticizing the heroine's primary husband and cursing the author for treating her badly.
The hero hasn't read the novel, but he vaguely remembers that there was a male side character who was a kept man the heroine had picked up.
He puts the pieces together: picked up and staying at her private residence. He slaps his thigh. So he's the kept man!
As far as he knows, later in the story the primary husband secretly has the kept man dealt with behind the heroine's back. After suffering abuse at the hands of that vicious man, he dies without anyone knowing.
The hero shudders. He won't let himself meet the same fate. First things first...
"Wife! Save me! Someone's trying to hurt me!" He throws himself into the woman's arms, weeping like a rain-soaked flower. At the end, he can't help cautiously glancing up to read her expression.
The woman's face is unreadable. She lifts his chin with a long, slender finger and asks meaningfully, "What did you just call me?"
The hero looks utterly confused. What did he do?
A foolish but beautiful troublemaker of a transmigrated man x a heroine who's kind on the surface but a sadist underneath x her vicious, extremely possessive primary husband
The hero has no memories of the original host. Later, he will bind to a System and become embroiled in the primary husband's household schemes.
All male characters are virgins.
Some details aren't settled yet. I'll polish the blurb when I start writing.
