Does the Campus Goddess Like Me?

Lin Zhao, a famously relentless overachiever, has her first truly irresponsible moment when she agrees to attend a mind-boggling economics lecture in her best friend's place.

To stay awake, she starts furiously ranting in her notebook.

She doesn't realize the stunning mixed-race beauty beside her, the mature and elegant Elara, has seen every word.

Lin Zhao is mortified, but then Elara's lips curl into a smile. Beside Lin Zhao's cutting commentary, she draws a little comic giving it a thumbs-up.

For the whole class, they pass notes and draw together, creating a silent, hilarious satirical animation.

After class, the goddess smiles and asks her, "Coming to the next lecture?"

Lin Zhao nods as if possessed.

And so her substitute-attendance gig spirals out of control.

Best Friend: "Do me a favor and go to class for me one more time!"

Lin Zhao (calmly closing her laptop): "No. I'm going to that class myself."

Best Friend: "Huh? What are you going to class for?"

Lin Zhao: "To take the first step toward spending my life with someone."

Cool on the outside, warm on the inside, secretly snarky overachiever x gorgeous mixed-race campus goddess
