Can You Be King If Your Species Is Wrong?

Aize was born the crown prince of the empire.

The good news: He was destined to inherit the throne.

The bad news: Everyone said he was the child left behind by his "father," the Dragon King. He'd inherited that stone-faced look, so he was obviously the former Dragon King's son.

Aize: ...Could the "father" you're talking about possibly be me?

What am I supposed to do when my subordinates mistake me for my own child and cry over me?

Asking online, pretty urgent.jpg

When Aize attends the interspecies summit as the Dragon Prince, his old friends see that familiar face and burst into tears.

The merfolk's Sea King cradles his cheeks, eyes full of grief. "I can't believe that stone-faced man had such a cute child. Come with me to Atlantis. Your father loved it there. He said he and I shared a special bond."

Aize: ? The bond where you fought all the time and he beat you black and blue?

The Elf King gives a slight cough. "Aize, your father sacrificed himself for us. As your uncle, I hereby choose you as my successor."

The merfolk's crown adorns him, while the elves' crown winds around his dragon horns.

Aize looks at himself, suddenly the heir to several races and being patted on the face by his old friends, his expression cold.jpg

You jerks, you're taking advantage of me, aren't you? :)

2. Purely brotherly affection. Thumbs up. Who could resist the thrill of suddenly having a close friend become a generation older than you?...
