When she saw strange people wearing round, transparent helmets shoot someone dead in front of her as if it were perfectly normal, she was terrified. In this dangerous world, knowing nothing, she locked herself in a room.
Olivia loved nothing more than reading in her room with the door shut tight. But one day, she found a strange game controller among the books delivered to her.

Looking at the black-haired boy on the screen, holding a big beetle and grinning foolishly at her from up in a tree, Olivia hesitated with the controller in her hands.
She pressed a button.

Before You Read:
