[Lord of the Mysteries] I, the Wheel of Fortune, Sequence 7

During a monthly math exam in her senior year of high school, Lin Lin had a mental breakdown over a grotesquely distorted geometry problem.

When she opened her eyes again, she saw the face of a strange girl in the mirror and heard unfamiliar words murmured in her ears.

Looking up, she saw a Crimson Moon that absolutely did not belong to Earth.

The previous owner of this body had apparently tried to summon an evil god and died in the process, leaving the place in shambles. Meanwhile, the knock of her mysterious, elite secretary of a brother was already sounding at the door.

In just a few days, she encountered a naked man dancing in circles, a giant serpent with silver scales and red eyes, a goddess holding a golden bird ornament, and the Fool knocking on a table Above the Gray Fog. Before long, there were enough entities watching her to fill two mahjong tables.

Even the captain of the only team she could trust seemed to have serious problems.

A hellish start.

The only good news was that her level of existence seemed, possibly, maybe... terrifyingly high?

The bad news: right now, she was Sequence 7, a lucky one whose ability meant she might find money on the street, or she might trip and land face-first in the mud.

As the Wheel of Fortune, pretending to be incredibly powerful at the Tarot Club, all she could do was look up at the sky.

Great Fool, can I cancel this transmigration?

Reader advisory:

1. The story takes place after Klein fell asleep in 1352. The heroine is one of the old-era survivors my Lord brought down. She is a native of the original Lord of the Mysteries setting, with no advantage from having read the original.

I've read the beginning of the first volume of Circle of Inevitability, but didn't continue because I didn't like its narrative style. So everything described about the Western Continent and Sefirah is based on the first book's setting, my own speculation, things I've found online, and the second book's setting posted on official social media. (Praise the Monster Pathway finally getting a complete setting!) Some details may be completely different from Circle of Inevitability, so just treat them as wild, unreliable history.

The original is so packed with details that I can't make everything perfectly consistent. If you spot any major discrepancies in the setting, feel free to point them out.

2. The heroine has a powerful golden finger, but it also comes with major limitations. I don't believe an original protagonist should overshadow the original characters and steal their moments. However, the heroine will eventually become a Monster Pathway Old One. (As far as we know, becoming an Old One only requires all the corresponding Sequence Ones, plus the Sefirah. Fate just happens to have only one Pathway, so the great and little snakes will still be Sequence One at the end. It may not be completely rigorous, but I just want to bring everyone together for a happy ending. Still, cooks, enter at your own risk.) If you can't accept that, I don't recommend reading.

3. Due to the outline, the heroine's journey will overlap with Klein's in some places, but this isn't a copy of the story. You can think of it as the heroine noticing something amiss in Klein's secret identity names and following the trail to find fellow transmigrators.

4. There are original supporting characters, and characters only mentioned briefly in the original will appear. There will also be plenty of friendship-focused scenes between the heroine and the original cast.

5. The heroine grows over time. She is neutral good, neither chaotic evil nor a fun-loving troublemaker. Before transmigrating, she was just an unfortunate student and an ordinary novel fan. Afterward, she gradually becomes my Lord's biggest fan. (Praise the Fool!)
