A Fortunate Face

[A hate-and-love romance, with a foul-mouthed, mad-dog heir as the male lead and an emotionally detached aerospace engineer as the female lead. They both love testing each other and dancing on the edge of danger. He clings to her; there's a touch of forced marriage and coercion. Dramatic and outrageous, set in a completely fictional world.]

For years, Zhang Jingzhi had no news of Zhen Baofu. During that time, he repeatedly tried to find out how she was doing, wanting to take revenge and hold her accountable, but every attempt came to nothing.

The reason he looked for her was simple: she was an enemy who had cut him to the bone. She was the only person who had trampled his dignity underfoot.

His father sent him abroad, and she vanished without a trace.

By the time he had the means to return and look for her, there was no sign of her anywhere.

Zhang Jingzhi didn't want to make such a small matter into a big deal. As the saying goes, don't dwell on the past. The days are fine when you're at leisure, so go out and enjoy them. Zhang Jingzhi didn't want to be trapped in old memories.

Years later, the two got married. Zhang Jingzhi gave Zhen Baofu islands, jewelry, and assets, but she still managed to vanish without a trace.

Zhang Jingzhi went on another late-night meltdown: [What the hell, you deleted everything from your Moments? Why? Am I that embarrassing? Fine, fine. I'll delete every single thing about you. If you can still find so much as a scrap of news about me, may my whole family die.

Get back here. I want a divorce. Right now.

You don't know how to be in a relationship at all. You're a piece of trash with a personality disorder. Dating you is fucking miserable. You're not fit to love anyone or have a relationship with anyone. With your personality, don't go out and ruin anyone else's life.

Goodbye. Never want to see you again.

If I run into you, I'll drag you into the sea and die with you.]

Zhen Baofu: Hubby, what's wrong? Missing me again? I'm busy. Didn't see your messages. Love you.

Zhang Jingzhi: You really know how to make me laugh in anger.

I love you too, honey. Give me a kiss.

In the end, Zhang Jingzhi figured it out and became more open-minded. In the face of true love, pride doesn't matter.
