Pretending to be profound × genuinely innocent
Yan Zhang is a cultivation-world prodigy.
He loves reading melodramatic romance stories, and one day he transmigrates into one. There, he even finds an adorable, beautiful fox boy named Hu Li.
But wait, you’re saying this is a supernatural story? Perfect. This is right up my alley!
Ghosts and monsters harming people? With a cultivation powerhouse around, that’s no big deal. He can casually create talismans and divine spells, and he’s covered in rare treasures. Ghosts and monsters run for their lives when they see him, while his fellow cultivators look on with envy and tears in their eyes.
Injustice left unresolved? With a fanfiction master on the case, who could fail to appreciate the truth? He’ll write a true-to-life story and make sure the facts are known to all. His melodramatic account of real events, Strange Tales, becomes a huge hit.
Everyone is stunned. Who would have thought this unremarkable young man could make such a name for himself?
Yan Zhang’s life goes smoothly, and he almost forgets about the scumbag from the original story. This shameless man keeps pestering him and declaring his love for Yan Zhang’s partner every day!
But Yan Zhang hugs his little fox and grins smugly.
The person who isn’t loved is the third wheel.
Yan Zhang has a secret identity that he keeps very well hidden.
He is Gui Yu, a popular romance-story author. He’s famous for writing melodramatic love stories, and readers both love and hate him. Then Strange Tales becomes a sensation and makes him famous throughout the land once more:
“The Local Tyrant Met a Grisly End. The Reason Will Shock You…” “My Lover Lives a Life of Debauchery, Yet I Can’t Stop Loving Him” “The True and False Young Masters: A Life of Illusion”…
Even Hu Li becomes an ardent fan, following every update as if in a trance.
Then one day, people discover that Gui Yu has written a lot of wild fanfiction for the most passionate moments in love.
The whole city is shocked!
Yan Zhang is stunned. He absolutely cannot let anyone find out, or his composed, charming image will be ruined.
Romance blurb:
Hu Li came to the mortal world to mooch off people and find a husband. He had excellent taste and found himself a handsome, reliable husband who seemed mature and steady.
But when he saw Yan Zhang standing there, staring at him with a silly grin, Hu Li couldn’t help laughing. It seemed he wasn’t quite as mature as he looked.
On hiatus for now.
Moral: Treat all things with kindness
