Before Sirius, a wanted fugitive, was captured, he had entrusted his godson to her. She had found out eleven years too late.
The good news: the child was alive, and had even become a famous figure, the Chosen One of the Wizarding World.
The bad news: someone threatened to kill the child every year at school, and of the only two British people she knew, the two Black brothers, one had gone to Azkaban and the other seemed to have gone to meet Merlin.
