Xu Chi (attack) × Mu Yundong (receive)
In an ordinary high school, there are two teenagers who never seem to cross paths.
Xu Chi - the top student in the science experimental class in the second year of high school, a frequent winner in mathematics competitions, calm and restrained, and accustomed to using formulas to explain the world. But no one knows that this boy wearing black-rimmed glasses will show rare tenderness when singing.
Mu Yundong is the "freak" in the art class. He likes to wear graffiti jackets and roar on the rooftop with an electric guitar on his back. The canvas is always painted with too strong colors. He was used to keeping a distance from the world, but he was inadvertently pulled into the light by a person's voice.
Their first encounter was the wind on the rooftop, the distorted timbre, and a crumpled copy of "Advanced Mathematics."
From that day on, the rooftop became their secret base - one worked on questions, the other played the guitar, and occasionally exchanged a look, which was warmer than any conversation.
Xu Chi approached him in a rational way: repairing his broken strings, shielding him from malicious jokes, and accompanying him on stage.
Mu Yundong responded with color: he drew his profile in a sketchbook, painted his voice on the canvas, and used music to breathe quietly for him when he lost control of his emotions.
Their worlds were originally two parallel lines, but they merged into a dazzling spectrum at a campus music festival - formulas and distortion, sketches and drum beats, rationality and wildness, and found the most perfect resonance in each other.
When the parabola of youth reaches its highest point, they discover that the most igniting thing is not the stage lights, but someone who is willing to sing a gentle song with you amidst your noise.
This is a story about music and color, reason and romance.
