Legend says that in ancient times, the "Three Thousand Calamities of the Heart Demons" scattered across heaven and earth. Each calamity embodied a human obsession, turning into disaster and bringing chaos to all living things.
Yun Shu and Lin Fengmian were an ordinary pair of senior and junior disciples at Qingyun Sect. During what seemed like a routine sect mission, they were unexpectedly caught up in a game that had been unfolding for ten thousand years. Together with the rebellious sword cultivator Qin Lie and the mysterious immortal physician Su Tang, they formed the "Calamity-Breaking Squad," traversing the Three Realms and using their sincerity to dispel obsession.
From the mortal dynasties to the Nine Nether Demon Realm, their journey was an adventure of vanquishing demons and evil spirits, but also a spiritual pilgrimage in which they bore witness to love, hate, greed, and rage, saving others as they saved themselves. As their companions' pasts were gradually revealed, they discovered that the greatest enemy they had to face was none other than the "Heavenly Dao" itself...
