A Witch's Companion Doesn't Have to Be a Black Cat
Zhenyue is an ageless witch whose appearance never changes. Though blind from birth, she possesses the ability to perceive the world. During an ordinary move, she found a special, injured white cat beneath the moonlight.
"Wu," a white cat with azure eyes, is exceptionally clever and proud. When Zhenyue named him, she had no idea of the fate hidden behind the coincidence. She simply thought he was a slightly unusual little creature who needed caring for. And so Zhenyue became the first witch in history to keep a white cat.
Content warnings:
1. The heroine, Zhenyue, is a witch. Her power system runs parallel to, but is different from, the cursed energy system in Jujutsu Kaisen. She is neither a Jujutsu Sorcerer nor a Curse User. There are no bloodline tropes or messy family backgrounds. The heroine exists independently.
2. Animal transformation: Satoru Gojo remains in his white cat form during the early part of the story and interacts with the heroine mostly as a cat. His return to human form is an important plot point, and their interactions in human form gradually unfold in later chapters.
3. Blind heroine: Zhenyue is blind from birth. This is an important part of her character and of how she perceives the world.
4. I'll do my best to keep everyone in character. If anyone is out of character, please don't come after me.
5. The overall tone is healing and leans toward everyday life.
6. The pairing is clear: one-on-one, Satoru Gojo × Zhenyue, with no other major romantic interests.
7. Readers who can't accept the early human-and-cat interactions, even though he returns to human form later, who dislike the blindness premise or a more introverted and sensitive heroine, or who want an extremely fast pace or pure wish fulfillment, should proceed with caution.
