But at the banquet, Li Beize clearly saw her and acted as if she weren't there.

Luo Xijiu had gone in fuming, but came back utterly lost.

She knew that the Li Beize who belonged only to her would probably never come back.

Luo Xijiu was heartbroken for a long time, while the elders of the Demon Clan grew increasingly anxious.

They feared the Divine Venerable's attitude meant she would take revenge on the Demon Clan for what had happened. They advocated an alliance through marriage with the Demon Clan to ensure their survival.

With her heart dead, Luo Xijiu accepted a betrothal to the Demon Emperor.

But at the betrothal banquet, Li Beize arrived in a blaze of light.

Luo Xijiu thought she'd come to take revenge, and was about to kneel before her.

Then she saw the strongest being in all three realms, the untouchable Li Beize, her eyes red with tears:

"You said you loved only me. Does that not count anymore?"

Luo Xijiu: "Oh!"
