[You may begin asking questions now.]

Kanzuki Suzu had only had her new body for three days and had already earned the title of suspect. She stood silently beside the police officer, looking from the strange glowing screen before her to the two detectives working through the case. She took a pen from her bag and wrote a question on the back of her hand.

"Is the killer Yabe Shuma?"

[Yes.]

At the same time, Detective Amuro, having finished explaining the method of murder, raised his hand and pointed at the man beside Kanzuki Suzu.

"You're the killer, Mr. Yabe."

Lately, a certain detective surnamed Amuro had been dreaming of the same woman. But when he woke up, no matter how hard he tried to remember, he could not recall meeting her in real life.

That is, until he happened upon a case and saw the woman from his dreams among the suspects.

Memories long buried broke through the ground. Beneath the cliff, a corpse lay twisted, limbs contorted, eyes still open in death. He bent down close to the woman's ear and asked softly:

"Why are you still alive?"
