[Cake & Fork World] (The reader's guide is at the bottom of the blurb)
"Green-grape-flavored aloof beauty Cake & puppy-like Cake Fork"
Jiang Que is a Cake, but he doesn't know it. The misty rain of a small southern town has kept him safe as he grew up.
After getting into Capital University, he leaves home with his backpack and heads to the big city. Everything is so unfamiliar.
The unfamiliar city, unfamiliar climate, and unfamiliar people make the already quiet Jiang Que clutch his backpack and press his lips into a tight line.
Luckily, his three roommates are friendly, especially Lu Fang, who sleeps across from him.
He talks a big game, but is genuinely good to Jiang Que.
A textbook case of someone whose actions contradict his words.
Jiang Que is a little worried this guy might be trying to get in his pants.
Lu Fang is a Fork, and he's always known it. Cakes are rare, but there are so many people in the capital that he still runs into a few.
He can't smell the food everyone else praises, and even when he eats it, it tastes like cardboard. Cakes, on the other hand, give off an alluring scent, but getting close to them makes him retch uncontrollably.
It's not a matter of morality. His disgust simply overpowers his appetite.
Just thinking of sweat, hair... and all kinds of bad habits...
----Better to starve to death.
So, while drooling at the delicious scent and throwing up stomach acid, he met Jiang Que.
The other boy was clean and fresh, like a little cake giving off the fragrance of green grapes.
For the first time, Lu Fang didn't feel disgusted. He felt only a simple appetite.
He couldn't help getting close to and teasing the other boy, savoring Jiang Que's changing scent whenever his emotions shifted.
So hungry, so delicious, so hungry, so delicious, so hungry, so delicious, so hungry, so delicious, so hungry, so delicious, so hungry...
Unable to stop himself from approaching, his mouth watered uncontrollably.
Hold on, wait a little longer. Let him get a bit plumper...
When Jiang Que lowered his head in front of him, his fair neck was exposed like a lamb waiting for the slaughter.
Lu Fang licked his sharp teeth. Surely sneaking a bite wouldn't be too much, right?
After waiting all that time, when he finally got what he wanted, he realized that desire had overcome appetite.
Lu Fang: No big deal. I'll just enjoy him another way.
Then Jiang Que learned the truth. Amid his silence, fear, and shock...
He sent Lu Fang straight to the police without hesitation.
[Reader's Guide:
Humans are divided into three categories: Cakes, Forks, and ordinary people.
Cake: To a Fork, a Cake is an "extremely delicious human." Their tears, saliva, skin, flesh, bones, and more give off an enticing scent that only Forks can perceive, and every Cake has a unique scent. Cakes usually don't know that they're Cakes, and often only find out after being attacked by a Fork or having someone else point it out.
Fork: A human who can sense how delicious Cakes are. Most lose their sense of taste later in life, while a few are born without it. After losing their sense of taste, they instinctively develop the desire to "eat a Cake." Society regards Forks as "potential murderers," and they are feared and watched with suspicion. Most hide their identities and live ordinary lives, but some Forks cannot suppress their urges and prey on Cakes.]
