[Reborn!] Black Rain

The main characters are modeled on the twins from Black Lagoon. It’s fine if you haven’t read it; you can just look up the keywords. This isn’t a Crossover, just a tribute in terms of characterization.

27 is the top, with an original character as the bottom. The story has a relatively serious setting, balancing Black Lagoon’s harsh realism with Katekyo Hitman Reborn.

Blurb:

Are you a beautiful young assassin sent over as an asset to serve the fledgling Tenth Generation heir?

Are you a prickly little kitten who seems impossible to approach, but blushes whenever someone is nice to you?

Do you love this world? Do you love yourself?

Does anyone love you? Have you ever loved anyone?

Is there anyone... who will save you?

Will anyone save us, Brother? In this chaotic world, the only people we can trust are you and me.

(The full novel is free and updates irregularly. The more comments there are, the more chapters I’ll post.)

Pure romance, with some emotionally twisted one-sided feelings and a complicated brotherly bond, but absolutely pure 1v1 romance. A happy ending guaranteed, though there will be trials and tribulations along the way.

The story follows 27 and William in the world of Resident Evil.

Blurb:

For the past seventeen years, Sawada Tsunayoshi has always thought he was an ordinary person: he graduated with terrible grades, couldn’t get into college, and couldn’t find a job.

Everything changed when he finally got an offer from a tech company. He had no idea why they would hire a nobody with a vocational school diploma, but at least he’d found a job and could stop being a shut-in! The job was in Raccoon City? Fine, he’d head over right away.

A few days later, William, a mercenary who had gone a long time without work because he looked too pretty and not nearly menacing enough, received a commission from the Vongola. Their future Tenth Generation heir had gone missing in Raccoon City, which had been cut off and turned into an island during a massive zombie outbreak.

William: Is this a death sentence? No way. I wouldn’t go even if you paid me more.

William, a moment later: (Takes the photo) (Studies it carefully) (Kisses it and slips it into his pocket) What a cute kid. I’m in.

It wasn’t until William actually found Sawada Tsunayoshi that he realized how wrong he’d been. This wasn’t a cute kid at all. He was a sleeping lion, and William was pinned beneath its claws, unable to move.

Is it too late to ask for a bigger fee? What, I can inherit all your money if we get married...? Even then, no. But you’re really lovely (rubs his cheek against Sawada Tsunayoshi).

Supporting characters include Ada Wong and Leon, along with the full original cast of Katekyo Hitman Reborn.
