I was born into a family with a rather complicated mix of members. To put it simply, my five elders have worked as phantom thieves, detectives, magicians, and police officers.
So naturally, I found myself in the midst of a career-choice crisis.
In high school, I decided to follow in my mother's and grandmother's footsteps and become a famous phantom thief like Robin Hood, keeping both villains and the police wrapped around my finger... I never expected to nearly get caught by some mere police academy student on my very first outing. Just like that, my dream was cut short.
When I graduated from college, I reconsidered my career path and decided I should choose a profession with a high barrier to entry.
I passed the national civil service exam and joined the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's police academy.
But...
Can somebody explain why more than 80% of the people here look exactly like the police academy student from back then!?
Are you all mandatory NPCs at the police academy!?
I figured out my mother ST.TAIL's identity when I was little, and grew up listening to legendary tales about phantom thieves, detectives, and magicians.
In my grandmother's story, the magician fell in love with her at first sight, and she gave up her life as a thief.
In my mother's story, the detective chased her calling cards again and again, and eventually the two of them married...
So why, in my own story, can a rookie police academy student see through my identity!?
Dear Mom and Dad,
Your daughter might be going to prison OwT
After studying the culture of the Three Kingdoms, Hiromitsu Morofushi said: "A general without courage is no better than no general at all. The key to warfare is speed. Life and death are inescapable; our lifespans are fixed."
After studying the culture of the Three Kingdoms, I said: "Congratulations, Dad, you can call yourself emperor now! Keep the music playing and the dancing going! ...If you say anything bad about Mr. Kongming again, I'll stab my ears deaf!"
What? Who says a parody of the Three Kingdoms isn't Three Kingdoms culture?
Tips:
1. Conan-centric, paired with Hiromitsu. The police academy group has a lot of screen time in the early chapters.
2. The female lead is the daughter of the leads from Saint Tail. Besides Detective Conan, this story also crosses over with Saint Tail, The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, and other works. You can read it without knowing the original works.
Theme: Choice is just as important as effort
