[The main story is complete. Check out the author's page and bookmark the next book! The upcoming novel is tentatively titled "On Cat Star, I Was Taken Home by a Cat [Beastfolk]": "A topsy-turvy tale of a cat raising a human." The preview is at the very bottom.]
Ming Wei got tangled up with an amphibious octopus.
It was pitch-black, about the size of a fist, and had eight legs.
[Poor-renter story, but with a nonhuman love interest]
Ming Wei is a poor high school girl. Other people's octopuses live in luxurious aquariums and eat botan shrimp and king crab. Her octopus lives in a candy jar, eating bread and instant noodles with her.
Eventually, it grew too big for the candy jar, then too big for the bathtub, and then too big for the house.
All it could do was huddle pitifully in her bedroom and use its fat tentacles as her mattress.
["Good kid"]
It may look sanity-destroying, but it's a good kid.
It uses its tentacles to wash Ming Wei's dishes (please don't taste the detergent); it makes her a loving breakfast (please don't put tentacles and slime in the pan); it chases away bad people for her (please don't eat people at random!).
One day, someone tells Ming Wei, "It's a monster, the source of every calamity." Ming Wei turns to look at the creature, its tentacles flailing and its eyes brimming with tears because it can't figure out how to use chopsticks.
Ming Wei: "Are you sure?"
[Observation journal]
Some day: It insisted on sharing my bed. I woke up in the middle of the night and found that, because it was too hot, it had hung its tentacles on the fan and spun around all night. The tentacles were fine, but the fan broke. It said the fan was picking on it.
Some day: It went out to sea to fish and came back without its head. Its head finally made it home in the middle of the night. I helped put it back on, but accidentally put it on backward. We had a seafood feast for dinner.
Some day: It asked me what "marriage" meant. I made something up on the spot. That night, it tied bows around all its tentacles and brought them to me. "Let's get marwied!"
Reader's guide:
A. A slightly chuunibyo, poor, ordinary high school girl X a silly (with a Schrodinger's IQ) beautiful tentacle monster;
B. The male lead's values and thought processes are nonhuman;
C. A sweet, everyday story. There will be lots of sanity-destroying scenes (not really). Overall, it's sweet (nods with conviction);
D. There probably won't be any major dealbreakers (scratches head);
E. This novel is set in a modern alternate universe. Please don't take it as real life.
F. The author loves revising, so the latest version is the definitive one. The author takes no responsibility for pirated copies.
[Please don't comment that this is a stand-in for XXX. First, it will seriously affect other readers' enjoyment. Second, that kind of comment is disrespectful to this couple. I know this novel isn't popular, but I love my ship. Please don't come into my comment section to pick a fight. Thank you!]
Upcoming novel preview
"On Cat Star, I Was Taken Home by a Cat"
A poor-renter story, Cat Star edition
When she woke up, Ming Xi found herself lying on a garbage heap.
She looked up and saw a Maine Coon.
She understood the situation, but why was this cat so huge?
Am I hallucinating? Ming Xi wondered.
To her surprise, the giant cat picked her up, looking delighted.
Cat: Meow! (Translation: So cute! I want to keep her!)
Ming Xi transmigrates to a planet inhabited only by cats, which she decides to call "Cat Star."
Even in a world of cats, people have to work and study.
The cat who found her seems to be a poor kitty.
The cat's house is shabby, but it makes Ming Xi a warm, pretty bed.
The cat is poor, but works hard to earn money so it can buy Ming Xi new clothes and cook delicious food for her.
The cat is considered good-looking on Cat Star, and other cats are always confessing their love to it, but the cat turns them all down.
The cat finds a new job. It has to fight other cats for work, and comes home covered in blood every day.
Ming Xi can't bear to see it, so she pretends to be a cat and goes to work in its place. By accident, the cat falls in love with her at first sight and confesses.
Ming Xi: Help! The nonhuman who took me in thinks I'm one of its kind and has fallen in love with me. What do I do?
Theme: Love creates.
So strange, did the heroine forget about the hero? Why did it end suddenly? Woohoo, what I want to read is a sweet article, baby Beibei must be happy ❤️
I can't survive, little octopus, why are you so miserable? But no matter what, the fact that I want to find Mingwei is really super delicious, especially the inhumanity is overflowing, super delicious
There are many new faces in the comments section. I originally thought that I would leave this book alone anyway, but after seeing the reactions of many people in the comment area, I still can't help but be shy. First of all, I have to say I'm sorry. When I was finishing the book, I knew that the ending of my book would definitely not be considered satisfactory. After writing this book in the later stages, I have been troubled by emotional problems. During that time, I said that I was preparing for the exam, but in fact I was not just preparing for the exam. I couldn't write a word, my brain went blank, my emotions were pale and dry, and I felt like I had a piece of dry bread stuck in my throat. I felt like vomiting as I wrote, and I could no longer immerse myself in the plot. Including some more practical issues, such as economic issues. There is no way to make money from this article but money is needed in every aspect of life. I can no longer ignore these and purely produce text. In the article, Mingwei is accompanied by the octopus monster, and the pain surrounding her life seems to be resolved. When I chose to finish this novel, I didn't feel relieved or relieved. First of all, I was numb. I felt that I should be sad and sad, but I couldn't cry. To use a metaphor used by one of my favorite authors, I was like a blocked crater. I forced myself to cry, and it was as ugly as constipation. Later in the night I woke up and cried again in bed. Mom is sleeping, and she is also working very hard. I hope she will find out, but I don't want her to find out. I feel very guilty and ashamed. I saw the comments from familiar readers. I know that you like this article from the bottom of your heart. I did not respond well to your likes. I am really sorry. I originally promised you to write a side story, but I may not be able to write it anymore. I am now in a state where I cannot write anything related to words. It is not that my hands are broken or the keyboard is broken. It is that I cannot immerse myself in it and I cannot write emotionally charged words. It's not the novel's problem, it's my problem. At the end, many readers are confused. In fact, the little monster has gradually turned into an unknowable and invisible existence. The little monster chooses to accompany Mingwei in its own way, that is, it becomes the house where she lives, her table, her quilt, and her bed. Every creature passing by her might be a little monster. But when I wrote this, I was too emotionally drained, so I didn't convey this meaning. I originally wanted to continue to be a coward tonight, but a message from a kind-hearted teacher suddenly popped up on my phone. She reminded me that there were pirated articles on the Internet. I mustered up the courage to come back and take a look at the comment area. I wrote and wrote on the announcement. I originally wanted to say something like, please support the original version... But I ended up not writing it down. The thought in my mind was "Does my kind of work deserve to be supported with money?" But don't do this. I'm afraid that some readers in the future will think: If an author says her work is bad, she can get it for free. I read pirated copies because her work is so bad. This is very detrimental to the creative environment of other teachers. No matter what, please support other teachers' genuine works. Creation is not an easy task. Finally, I'm sorry again, I'm sorry. I don't know when I will be able to write extras, and I don't know when I will regain the sense of control over words. Thank you readers for your sincere love. Although I failed, I am truly grateful and I am indeed happy for it. Dear readers who spent money and did not get the reading experience they imagined, I am very sorry, sorry, sorry.
. . . . . . Ah???
I don't know how to describe my feelings when I see this. This is the first time I have seen such a "male protagonist", but what attracts me is the companionship between the protagonists. Those daily interactions are really warm. It feels a bit sudden to catch up on the update here. My daily routine is to log in to see if there are any new chapters, so I feel so reluctant to leave 😭 but I still want to say it is over 🎆 [Spreading Flowers] 🎆 I hope the extra chapter will have sweet daily life and future stories 🐰 I also hope that this article will be seen by more people ❤️
Whether you like it or not, the main thing is, why did the male protagonist become like that? I can't understand it
I hope I can become a tentacle monster and post tens of thousands of words a day.
Wow, I feel so sorry for the octopus puppy.
Sister, I fell too~
How can I say the ending? Once we go back to before liberation. It's obvious that he already has a human form
