The Incompetent Husband Coveted by the Celestial Dragons

Li Ge'e is an ordinary federal legislator. He's proud of his picture-perfect family, with a lovely wife and a beloved child, and is sure that countless colleagues envy him!

His wife was a twice-married widow, and she came with an adopted son who had just come of age. Li Ge'e accepted them both without complaint, always wearing a blissful smile.

He works hard, following the same three-point routine every day. Unfortunately, whenever he thinks he might make a name for himself, he's forced to compromise on all kinds of agreements and strategies demanded by his Celestial Dragon patrons. Every time he comes home exhausted, he sees his wife and adopted son sleeping peacefully and weeps with guilt. He hasn't been able to give his family a better future!

What troubles Li Ge'e most is that his wife's breathtaking beauty has given rise to all kinds of rumors, some of which have reached his ears.

But whenever he asks his wife about them, she cuts him off with an annoyed look. "Don't I do it all for your career? If you could get promoted, maybe I wouldn't have to work so hard socializing and putting up with these rumors!"

That only makes Li Ge'e feel more useless and ashamed.

Li Ge'e doesn't dare open the door. Tears silently run down his face.

So his wife is a complete political fixer and social butterfly in the world of the rich and powerful! Her whole act as a pure, flawless lily was nothing but a lie!

Before the useless Li Ge'e can turn around and leave, his adopted son pins him against the door and murmurs darkly, "Father, it's all right. Mom doesn't love you, but I can take care of you!"

Later, everything falls into chaos. The office suddenly loses power, and the door is flung open. Just as he tries to get up, he's pressed back down into his office chair.

"Xiao'e, don't move. It's me, your wife."

Li Ge'e feels his heart sink and his mind reel. His wife has never come to his office before!

And there are many hands touching his body.

Celestial Dragons try to help Li Ge'e trade up to a new wife, in this story of climbing the ranks.

But little Li is hopelessly devoted to his wife.

2. The wife is his real wife, a real two-time bride, and really has a child. She's his emotional anchor: a formidable, sharp-tongued shrew who won't get divorced and has never cheated. She's five years older than him. Let the Celestial Dragon patrons just covet her from afar and sneak peeks, okay? Good.
