Lying half-reclined on his hospital bed, Yan Ziqing sleepily watched Zuo You return from a banquet, still wearing his suit, and asked as calmly as if it were nothing:

“Are you my lover, or my dad's illegitimate son?”

Zuo You paused while loosening his tie and smiled.

“I'm your lover.”

“Your faithful lover and puppy.”

I want none of the fleeting things. I only want a sincere heart.
