Ming Lang was a wild child from who-knows-where, relying on kind people to provide all his food and clothes.
Perhaps Heaven had finally opened its eyes.
When he was ten, Wen Xu, the heir to the Wen family, found him and took him home.
Wen Xu treated him wonderfully. He would soothe him to sleep, hold him while teaching him to read, put down a contract because of one of his nightmares, announce he would remain single because of something Ming Lang said, and grant his every request.
No one had ever been so good to Ming Lang.
So, when he came of age, he naturally realized that his feelings for Wen Xu were forbidden.
It took Ming Lang three days to go from being at a loss to wanting to date Wen Xu.
To achieve that, he poured his heart into pleasing Wen Xu, threatened him by staying out all night, and provoked him with lies.
But Wen Xu always kept his emotions hidden.
He only repeated, again and again, "We're brothers."
After hearing it a hundred times, Ming Lang finally took it to heart.
He returned to his role as a younger brother, dutifully called him "big brother," moved out of the house, stopped checking up on Wen Xu, and stopped expressing his love for him.
Later, Ming Lang decided to go abroad on his own.
They met again at a party.
--- Ming Lang was being confessed to by someone around his age who was a perfect match for him in every way.
Wen Xu abandoned his usual rationality. While Ming Lang was changing, he imprisoned him in his arms, his cold hand stroking Ming Lang's terrified face as he whispered:
"Didn't you say you'd love your big brother forever?"
"Didn't you say you'd stay by your big brother's side forever?"
Theme: Love can embrace everything.
