The third time, Ning Rong was crying in Zhou Ran's bed, apologizing to someone else over and over.
When they met again, Zhou Ran wanted to keep Ning Rong at home, but someone was always trying to take him away. If Ning Rong couldn't break up with his ex, then surely Zhou Ran could be his secret lover?
Even so, he still asked for a proper title: "Rongrong, you came to see me before you'd fully broken things off... Does that mean we're having an affair?"
"Am I the other man who's coming between you and Rongrong?"
Ning Rong could barely get the words out. "No... You wanted to be one?"

② The ex-boyfriend is a pathetic, brooding ghost of a man. His role is prominent in the middle of the story, but absent at the beginning and end.
